Morgan's POV
I laugh, watching Luna struggle to push back up. "I wish this was gym class where we could do girl push-ups" Luna groans, while I continue to laugh.
I've been here two weeks so far, and it's surprisingly not that bad. Call me crazy if you wish but working out isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Luna, however, does not agree.
"I can't believe I thought gym class was difficult. Compared to this it was a breeze" Luna mumbles, and I smile while trying to concentrate on not falling.
Someone suddenly steps on my hand, and I wince, falling flat on the floor.
I groan, rolling onto my back. "Ow, my tits" I mumble, while Luna is practically dying of laughter beside me.
"Watch it please" I mumble, looking up at the girl who stood on my hand. She has light brown hair and is quite tall. Well, maybe that's just because I'm lying on the floor.
She's in leggings and a crop top, holding a grey hoodie in one hand and her phone in the other.
"I'm so sorry," She says, and I shoot her a small smile. "It's fine. Just be careful" I tell her before I continue to do pushups. By now, Luna has calmed down from her fit of laughter.
"So I remember one time in gym class-"
My arm is suddenly kicked from underneath me, and I fall on my stomach again. Luna doesn't laugh this time, since that was obviously intentional.
I stand up, and she smiles at me. "Listen, I don't know what the fuck your problem is but piss off," I tell her, and she chuckles.
"Sorry, I'm just clumsy," She tells me, and I glare at her.
She suddenly stumbles forward, and she drops her phone to grab onto my arm to catch herself before she falls. When she catches her balance, she removes her hand from me like my touch burned her.
I roll my eyes, while she turns around. "Watch where the fuck-..".
She cuts herself off, and the whole fucking gym seems to go quiet as she takes a step backwards after seeing Sage staring at her, his face blank of any expression as usual.
"I'm-I'm so sorry" She whispers, but he simply just stares at her. She clears her throat, looking at the floor. She bends down, reaching for her phone, and I stare at Sage, while his eyes are still on the girl.
She suddenly hisses, and I snap my attention down to see Sage with his boot on top of her hand that was reaching for her phone.
"You're-You're standing on my hand" She chuckles nervously, pain clear in her voice. I, as well as everyone else in this whole fucking place, watch silently as he puts more weight on the leg pinning her hand.
She lets out a cry. "Okay! Okay I'm sorry!".
He doesn't move. He continues to stand on her small hand for another ten seconds before he finally removes his foot, and walks away as if nothing happened.
The girl quickly walks away, and everyone stares at Sage until he suddenly turns around. Everyone seems to look away in union, continuing what they were doing.
But me. I stare at him, confused at why he helped me. At the start, Elijah said they didn't care what we did to each other. So why did he care?
Because we were training. Yeah, that's right. They said they don't have time for our petty fights.
He suddenly looks at me, and our eyes lock. I don't look away like last time. I keep staring at him for some reason.
His head tilts ever so slightly to the side, and his eyebrow raises just a bit. The change in his expression is so little, no one would notice if they hadn't been watching his face closely.
After what feels like minutes, but in reality, was probably only a few mere seconds, his stare gets too intimidating for me, and I look away.
I still feel his eyed linger on me as I kneel back down and begin doing push us again, pretending not to notice his stare.

I'm walking out of the gym, out of breath and in desperate need of a shower.
My arm is suddenly grabbed, and I'm pulled to the wall, out of the way of people walking by. I look and see Luna staring at me with wide eyes. "Dude!" She whispers, and I stare at her confused.
"What?" I ask her. "Did you see that?" Marlow suddenly whispers, and I jump slightly as he appears on my other side.
"What?" I mumble. "He stood up for you" Luna whispers. "I know". I stare at them confused, wondering why they're whispering. "What's the big deal?" I ask.
"What's the big deal?" Marlow scoffs. "He stood up for you Morgan!". "So?".
He groans, before walking off.
I draw my attention back to Luna. "Hes Sage. Have you ever heard him talk? Ever seen him smile? Laugh? Care? Be anything other than an emotionless robot?".
I shake my head. "No, I've only been here a few days" I remind her. "Well he doesn't, okay? There have been fights before and he lets the guards break them up. But after only two weeks, he stood up for you" Luna tells me, and I shrug. "I guess he was feeling nice".
Luna groans, letting go of my arm and walking off.
I chuckle. "What?" I ask, calling out after her. She waves me off. "Forget it" She yells back before turning down a corner.
I laugh at how dramatic she's being.
What Sage did was meaningless. He didn't help because of me. He would have helped anyone if they were in that situation.
Looking around, I realise the corridor is now empty. All the people quickly went to the food hall, or to go shower.
That's where I was going too until Luna stopped me and dragged me to the side.
I continue walking to my room, feeling disgusted with how much I'm sweating.
I turn a corner, and I'm suddenly pushed into a wall. I hit my head and hiss slightly, cupping the spot I hit with my hand.
Someone suddenly grabs both my shoulders and I'm turned around roughly, where Im pinned to the wall.
I see the same girl from before, and I scowl.
"Listen bitch, you better back off" She warns, and I stare at her confused. Back off what?
"Who the fuck even are you?" I mumble, and she chuckles darkly. "You don't wanna know". I roll my eyes, shoving her back.
"What the fuck is your problem?" I ask, and she snarls at me. "You are". "But why? I didn't do anything to you" I scoff, and she just glares harder.
"You-".
Sage suddenly turns the corner, stopping when he sees us both. He glances at the two of us, while we both freeze, not knowing what to do.
"Thanks for forgiving me" She suddenly says, smiling. I look at her confused, then glance at Sage, seeing him already staring at me.
Looking back at the girl, her smile is still present, and so is the warning in her eyes.
I scoff, rolling my eyes before walking off down the corridor, ignoring the two sets of eyes I feel staring at me.
