Morgan's POV

"I can't feel my legs" I pant out, as I struggle to keep running on the treadmill. "Same" Luna mumbles, looking like she's struggling too.

I want to tell her the story about how I thought I was paralysed from the waist down, but I don't want to bore her so I stay quiet like usual.

It's been three days and moving isn't as painful. Thank god.

I'm at morning training, dying alongside Luna on the treadmills.

"I'm going to the bathroom," Luna tells me as she stops her machine. I want to glare at her since we both know damn well she's just going there for a break, but I don't say anything.

A few minutes after Luna left for the 'bathroom', my machine is suddenly turned off.

I turn, seeing the girl standing there, glaring. I still don't know her name, so I've officially named her 'girl'.

I place my hand on my side, hoping to ease the stitch in my side. "I don't know whether to be angry or thank you for saving me" I mumble honestly, closing my eyes as I try to catch my breath.

"What do you want?" I ask as I step off the machine, grabbing my water bottle off the floor beside me. "Wanna push me into another wall than get all scared when the teacher comes?" I chuckle, before taking multiple big gulps.

She glares at me. "You're going to pay".

I snort. "For what exactly?" I ask, wiping my sweaty forehead with the back of my hand.  "For what you did to my brother" She hisses, and I stare at her confused.

She has a brother?

She has a brother!-

I gasp. "Plot twist? Oh my god. That was your brother? Shit, you two look nothing alike" I laugh, while she looks taken back.

"You didn't know it was my brother?" She mumbles. I shake my head. "I was confused as to why some random dude came and beat me up".

"Wait..he beat you up?" She mumbles, looking surprised. "Mhm. My ribs were blue and black for days. One still is actually. I'm concerned it might be broken. Credit to your brother though. He definitely doesn't skip leg day" I snicker at my own joke.

"You're a weirdo" Is all she says before walking away. I debate calling her back since I'm curious as to what happened to him. Did he have to run extra laps?

A hand grabs my shoulder, and I'm suddenly being turned around.

"Are you okay?" Deigo asks immediately. "Did she say anything to you?" Marlow asks, who's standing right beside Deigo.

After I told them that she shoved me against that wall in the corridor one day, and how she grabbed my ankle in training, they both became my personal bodyguards whenever she was in a five-mile radius of me.

As if I need protection from her of all people. But I let them think they're helping me because it's cute they care.

I am yet to tell them that her brother beat me up. They'll probably go on a rampage.

"She has a brother. Did you know that?" I tell them. They both look at me confused. "No..?" Deigo mumbles, and I smile.

"Well, now you do," I tell them, patting their cheeks before shooing them both away. They walk away silently, looking confused for whatever reason.

I don't question it. Instead, I spot Luna hiding out by the water fountain on her phone. I go over, dragging her back before we both start running again.

                                    ***

I walk past the group of three, trying to look as unsuspicious as possible. I think it's working.
