Sages POV"Goodbye," Morgan says.
"Morgan," I say, and she groans before letting go of me, and dropping back on her bed. "Fine. Bye," She mumbles, staring up at the ceiling with an adorable little frown on her face.
I chuckle, getting on the bed and hovering over her. Cupping the side of her face in one of my hands, I lean down and gently place a kiss on her lips.
She sighs, relaxing into my touch as she kisses me back, matching the pace before I eventually pull back.
"I love you" I whisper against her lips, and she smiles, her cheeks turning a light shade of red. "I love you too," She says, and I hum, still getting used to hearing her say that. Despite the fact, she reminds me every day.
"I don't know where you're going, but stay safe," Morgan says, and I smile. I'm leaving for three days to go do some jobs with Leo and Alex across the country. Morgan isn't too happy about it.
I kiss her one last time, before getting up off the bed. She sits up, staring at me and I cup her face in my hands. "Goodbye. Stay safe. And ring me so I don't go insane" I whisper, and she grins, nodding her head before she fucking boops my nose.
I roll my eyes, stepping away while she laughs. "I love you!" She tells me as I open her door. "Whatever" I mutter, closing the door behind me.
Between calling me adorable, pinching my cheeks and now bopping my nose apparently, my intimidating image seems to have completely evaporated in her eyes.
It takes me roughly twenty minutes to drive to Alex's house. It was agreed that we go in my car, meaning I'm stuck with pick-up duty.
I knock on the front door, and a few seconds later Diana opens the door. She smiles, opening the door wider for me to step inside.
"Alex, Sage is here!" She yells out, before turning to me.
She stares at me, before placing a hand over her mouth as she looks to be stifling a laugh.
"I'm sorry-" She laughs, before using her hand to motion me down. I stare at her confused, lowering my head slightly.
She touches my hair for some reason, before letting go. She then holds up a red bobby pin, and I roll my eyes, internally cursing out Morgan.
"Thanks" I mumble, taking the pin off her and shoving it in my pocket. "You're welcome," Diana says, smiling largely, and looking to be holding back a laugh.
Just then Alex walks down the stairs, holding his two-year-old daughter Natalie in his arms, while he has a black backpack around his other shoulder.
He kisses Natalie's head, and I hold out my hands to take her. He happily passes her to me, and she shows me her smile, as well as her missing front tooth.
I hold her in my arms, kissing her little cheek while she makes some weird giggle noise, holding out her hand and touching my face.
"You sure you'll be okay?" Alex mumbles to Diana. Diana rolls her eyes, smiling. "I'm a grown ass woman Alex, I'll survive three days on my own," She says. Alex smiles sheepishly at her.
Diana turns to me, holding out her arms and I pass Natalie to her. Alex kisses her head. "Bye sweetheart" He smiles, while Natalie just stares at him.
"Goodbye Sage" Diana says, and I nod my head at her, shooting her a small smile.
"Stay safe! Don't die!" Diana yell to us as we walk to my car. Alex laughs while I smile, getting into the driver's seat.
The next stop is Leo's house. And once we get there, we stop, staring at the house while silence fills the car.
