⚠️Trigger Warning⚠️
Morgan's POV
I sigh, picking at my food while Diego and Marlow annoy Luna.
It's been two days, and I haven't seen Sage since. Ezra and Sage didn't show up yesterday, or today. So we haven't had training for the last two days. Usually, I would be delighted. But the timing is very inconvenient.
"Morgan!"
I jump slightly, looking up to see Diego and Marlow staring at me. Luna is gone, and so is her tray. "Where'd Luna go?" I ask confused. "She left five minutes ago," Diego tells me, and I frown. "Oh.."
Marlow stands up, and walks around the table, sitting down beside me while Diego sits opposite us. Marlow throws his arm over my shoulder, pulling me into a side hug. "You okay?" He asks, and I hum, closing my eyes while I lean my head against him.
"You sure? You've seemed upset for a day or two now" Diego says, and I shrug. "Okay then" Marlow chuckles.
"Training back on tomorrow," Diego says, and Marlow groans. "Don't say that. Please" He mumbles, while I stare at Diego. "How do you know?" I ask.
"Some people saw Sage walking the halls today. Assuming their vacation is over" Diego sighs, and Marlow goes on complaining while I try to think of an excuse to leave.
"I gotta go. I'm tired" I tell them, and they look at me. "See you tomorrow. Bright and early" Marlow sighs, and I pat his shoulder as I stand up, before leaving.
I speed walk to Sage's office, hoping he's here.
I knock on the door, waiting impatiently. The door opens, and I let out a sigh of relief when I see Sage.
"Idiot. Where did you go?" I scowl as I wrap my arms around his waist. He places an arm around my back, hugging me back while he closes his office door with his other hand.
I pull away, looking up at him, noticing the cut on his lip, as well as the red bruise underneath his eye. "What happened?" I scowl, cupping his face in my hands.
I then remember our profession and smile sheepishly. "Never mind".
I clear my throat, taking a step back. He frowns a bit. "Can we talk?" I ask, and he nods, grabbing my hand. He leads me over to the two-seater couch he has and sits us down.
I try to remember the speech in my head, but he surprisingly talks first. "I'm sorry," He says.
"Wait, why are you sorry?" I tell him. "I insulted your family. I had no right" He mumbles. "You're allowed to have your own opinions on people, and I don't blame you for the ones you have. My family isn't perfect, I know. But they're my family, and I'll always love them" I tell him, and he smiles his regular, small smile.
"So can we put this past us now?" I ask, and he nods. I smile, relieved. I hate fighting with people.
"So you're family owns a company?" I ask, and he nods. "Why didn't you tell me?" I scowl, lightly smacking his arm. He shrugs. "Forgot". I roll my eyes, while he smirks a bit.
"I did love watching my sister's face drop when she realized she works for your family" I grin, and he chuckles. "And you talked so much in the car. I know we were arguing and shit, but hello?! You spoke paragraphs!" I smile, and he rolls his eyes playfully, leaning over and kissing my temple.
"And I want to know more about you," I tell him. He looks at me confused. I move over and sit, straddling his lap. He rests his hands on my hips. "That day made me realise I didn't know that much about you. I didn't even know your second name" I frown a bit.
