An ache for her touch,

"C'mon please! I'm sure you'll create something amazing," Jack pleaded, his hands praying in front of her as his eyelashes fluttered in a desperate manner.

Eleanor covered her face in pure terror, "no, no, no, no I can't," she laughed.

Luke saw the commotion from the corner of the store and approached them, his eyes darted from his manager to Eleanor and back again. "What's going on here?" He chuckled, propping himself up against the till front.

"You're the man I need, she'll listen to anything you say!" Jack cheered, sinking his hands into Luke's broad shoulders.

Eleanor immediately blushed, was it that obvious?

Luke smirked at the whole situation; his eyes burning a hole straight through her soul.

"Luke, you gotta persuade her to be my opening act for our first poetry night, here, tomorrow?" Jack pleaded again.

Luke's eyebrows raised at his question, knowing Eleanor's songwriting ability, it wouldn't have surprised him if poetry was also in her skill-set.

Turning his gaze back to Eleanor, her eyes were wide, her teeth holding back her bottom lip as her finger twirled her hair.

"I'll see what I can do Jack," he mumbled, his eyes not letting up; her blue eyes swallowing him in.

"Okay, I'll leave it with you mate, I hope next time we speak Little Miss, it's because you're saying yes!" He wagged his finger in her direction before disappearing into the back of the store.

The thick smog-like tension lay heavy between the two. Their lungs took deeper breaths as their heartbeats increased in pace.

It was at that moment when he realized she was wearing his jumper, the one from the night of the ice-creams. She watched as he scanned her body, his smile sending a ridiculous amount of flutters into her stomach.

Eleanor gently pulled down the edge of the jumper, exposing her right shoulder, her pink bra strap now completely visible. That movement alone caused Luke to bite down on his lip, a deep sigh escaping at her feeble attempt to seduce him and at his body's feeble attempt not to react.

The cough from a customer startled the pair.

"If you're not too busy, I'd like to pay for these," the snarky woman rolled her eyes, the look of disgust projected at both of them.

"Sure, this way ma'am." Luke interjected, becoming occupied with a queue of customers but never quite occupied enough to detach his eyes from Eleanor.

Wrapping herself back up with his jumper, a waft of his cologne tantalized her senses. She brought a small section of it closer to her nose, allowing herself a brief moment of comfort.
