The slow burn of the wood in the fire pit caught the attention of the Australian. He watched as the flames steadily ate up the drift wood that Chase had placed there earlier. It crackled away and the embers flickered upwards towards the stars.

Finally, the sun had rested for the night taking the last busts of color with her. But in her place shone the brightest moon Luke had ever seen. It lit up the beach and reflected off of the sea.

The gentle sound of the water lapping up onto the shore sent him into an almost hypnotized state. His arms were hooked around her waist as she sat in his lap, her legs over him, her head on his chest as they sat in the curved, soft-materialed chair.

His fingers glided up and down her braided hair as his breath slowed to match the atmosphere.

He was safe. He was loved. He was exactly where he had always wanted to be.

She listened carefully to his heartbeat, it lulled her into the sweetest of fairy tales. Everything was perfect and she couldn't quite believe it.

She adjusted her position so that she could get a better view of him and the sky.

Eleanor was obsessed with how beautiful Luke looked under the moon's light and against the fire's glow. It only highlighted his chiseled features more and illuminated his eyes. They were truly the most beautiful blue.

The stars dotted the midnight black sky, the constellations were much clearer than they were back in the city- the reason Eleanor's neck was crained upwards.

Chase watched them closely as he held Jess in his arms. He caught the slight glances and the secret smiles. He finally felt like he could release all of the doubt that had built up. He was finally ready to love them for who they are together.

He was proud of Ellie, after her uni boyfriend mistreated her and made her feel worthless, he really didn't think she would put herself out there again.

"I bet the view from there is amazing!" Eleanor gleamed, pointing to a raised bit of the cliff. "After we've eaten some s'mores, shall we go and explore?" She asked Luke, pleading with her eyes.

"Of course sweetheart" he smiled back.

Jess handed out the sticks and marshmallows while Eleanor handed out the chocolate and biscuits.

"I've never done this before" Luke admitted sheepishly as he rolled the wooden stick between his fingers.

"Oh it's simple!" Eleanor smiled, "I'll show you". Gently she guided his hand so that his marshmallow was close to the flames.

"Can you see how the edges are turning brown?" She smiled. He hummed in response watching as Eleanor did the same.

Luke leaned over and kissed her cheek, "I love you El" he whispered, his fingers tracing the edge of her face, his eyes locked onto hers.
