It really is true what they say, everything good happens between the months of June and August. Everything was painted in the warmest of yellows and surrounded by the hottest of nights, salt air and laughter.
After hours at the beach every night for months, Luke had finally learnt to surf and Eleanor simply couldn't find anything hotter than when his now long hair blew in the wind as he surfed a wave.
Luke was obsessed with the thrill of competing against Chase. After everything on his birthday, he and Chase sat down and aired all of their concerns and grievances. Since then, they were almost inseparable. Chase became the brother Luke had been so desperately missing.
July 22nd It was another scorching hot day in San Diego but what made this one different, is that for once, everyone's schedules lined up during the day. Chase was off. Jess was off. Eleanor was off and so was Luke.
They had been planning a beach trip for weeks and Eleanor was physically bubbling with excitement to just relax and have fun with just the four of them. She was so excited that she woke up at the crack of dawn with so much energy, you would have believed she had drank six coffees at least.
By this point, Luke just chuckled at her and followed suit. They both worked in harmony to pack what they needed for a beach trip.
Eleanor dressed in her favorite swimwear, a blue bikini and Luke wore an unbuttoned shirt and shorts.
"Have we got everything?" Luke asked, scanning the room. His eyes stopped on her. He studied her effortless curls, her sapphire eyes that popped against her tanned skin, her freckles. Dropping the bag on the floor, he strode towards her, a smirk plastered on his face. Eleanor frowned at him.
His arms snaked around her waist and hungrily brought her body close to his. Tipping her chin up with his index finger, he kissed her with so much intent and passion her knees nearly gave way.
Pulling a part, she was breathless. "You're so fucking stunning" he groaned. His hands roaming her practically clothesless skin. His hands settled on her lower back. She blushed immediately. "Stop," she giggled, hiding her face into his chest.
"Never" he confirmed. "What do you say every time you see a sunrise or sunset?" He asked, looking her directly in the eyes.
"I say they're beautiful," she admitted.
"It's the same with me but you are my sunset. I can't help but comment on your beauty every time I see it" he shrugged with a smile.
Eleanor's heart fluttered and melted into a puddle.

Once at the beach, Chase had selected a more secluded spot that was only really visited by surfers and not tourists.
