Four days had passed since the night Eleanor and Luke had met for the first time.
Four days had passed since Luke had smiled properly for the first time in years.
Four days had passed since Luke had spoken to anybody.
It was his own fault really. He could have knocked on her door and thanked her for the gift or for saving him that night but no, luke hadn't tried anything.

It was currently 2pm on a Friday afternoon and the store had a constant flow of customers, however most people just came in to browse, have a coffee and then leave again.
The weather outside looked dull and it wouldn't have been a shock to him if it started raining.
Luke was on his break, sitting on the second floor overlooking the store. The once low rumble of the store was overpowered by the sweetest, melodic laugh.
Peering over the rails, his eyes scanned to find the source of the noise until they landed on her.

Eleanor and Chase bursted through the doors giggling about a memory from university. Her eyes lit up when they saw all of the records and artwork filling the walls and ceiling. Her head tilted back and she spun around, slowly gazing, consuming what she saw.
"I think I'm in love!" she exclaimed falling back onto the couch. The ceiling was so intricately decorated with every great record old and new from Elvis Presley, to Pink Floyd to The Rolling Stones to the Beatles and dozens more she didn't recognize.
Music meant everything to Eleanor. She needed it as much as she needed the air to breathe. At any given moment she craved to hear sound whether it be from her vinyl player, airpods or even her own guitar.
This place felt like heaven, as if she was floating on a cloud on a summer's day.
"Earth to Ellie?!" Chase waved his clumsy hands in front of her face, holding her hands and helping the stunned girl to her feet.
The smile upon her face beamed across the store and hit Luke straight in the heart. He swore he could feel it twinge.
After about twenty minutes of rummaging through the first section of vinyls and about fifty squeals of excitement later, Eleanor still couldn't choose a vinyl.
From the front of the store a loud shrill of pain echoed around the store as a woman dropped her freshly poured cup of coffee on the floor.
Without a second thought, Eleanor went straight over to the commotion.
"Hey, are you alright? Did the coffee touch your skin?" She asked the startled older woman who was accompanied by a much younger lady, her daughter, she presumed.
