Chapter 64

Hawks had garnered a lot of attention walking you to the train station. Which in turn meant that you'd gotten a lot more attention than you'd wanted. Though you'd done what you could to look presentable that morning, it still felt like a walk of shame. Only worse because it'd been in the afternoon and you'd had a pro-hero escort. You were just thankful you'd been in some athleisure wear when Hawks had personnapped you. Decent enough to be outside in, barely, but comfortable enough to have slept in.

When you'd gotten back to the dorm, you wished once more that you had something more substantial on. Like riot gear. The way the brave and the bold of class 1A had swarmed you had not been pleasant.

What came later that evening made you miss the dorm ambush...

"As you can see, the Commission has done everything in its power to suppress the true extent of this latest epidemic."

Up to that point the news had reported that an unprecedented amount of sick leave had been logged in from pro-heroes and sidekicks alike. That way the public had answers as to why their streets were all but devoid of the usual heroes. What they hadn't reported was that a good number of heroes and sidekicks might never be able to return to work.

Heart attacks. Strokes. Deadly asthma attacks. Blindness. Extreme hypertension.

And that was only some of the problems.

Other than exceedingly shocking medical issues, there were so many cases of assault, sexual harassment and worse filed in the last month against the hero community that it eclipsed Japan's rates from the general populous of the last year three years combined.

The sudden, insane uptick of health issues and crimes had the Commission scrambling for answers. Which is why they'd turned to U.A. More specifically Nezu - his intelligence was off the charts after all. He'd been the one to actually spot the correlation between leaves of absence, health issues, and extreme rise in sexual crimes. And he'd figured out a dispersal timeline and affected area. Which was why he'd made the call and brought both you and Aizawa in to discuss the problem.

With the way he'd compiled and laid out the data, there was no doubt in your mind what the causes of the epidemic was. Whoever had shot Aizawa with the sexual steroid had been shooting other heroes as well. And from the numbers it was far more debilitating than you thought. Far more deadly...

You could be doing more than this.

"Based on the look on your face, I believe I was correct to discuss this sensitive issue with the two of you," Nezu looked towards you at first before turning his gaze towards Aizawa. "Tell me, how long did your symptoms last after you were injected?"

Aizawa held up the matching amount of fingers as he spoke, "Four days. Given the nature of the symptoms, I discount anything past."

You remembered those days rather vividly. Normally that could have evoked a different emotion. At that moment, however, a mild wave of fear passed through you. Especially as Nezu commented:

"Hmm, that is only a fraction of what has been reported."

"...I...I removed a lot of it."

Most of it in fact. At least judging by what you remembered of the cartridge Aizawa brought back. He'd suffered so strongly for the first day that he had wanted you to give him E.D. Until you'd sort of offered an alternative. Then it was just a lot of sex until it faded from his system.
