'" Cough, cough! Woo, glad to get that out of my system. I look around to see where Absol brought me. It appears to be inside a large bush.

Not that I can tell for sure, everything seems big when you're as short as me. It seems the loud noises in the distance have settled down at least. Maybe I can find where that tasty smell is coming from.

I look around the log I was sleeping on. Wait, is this even a bush? I smell the air, and look around me at where the leaves are attached.

This is a toppled tree isn't it? Before I could get my answer though, I found the berries.  Well I guess, I can find out later, now then, thank you for the food Absol. ( I really hope I'm not going to owe that guy a favor.)

A few Meters Away...

- Alex? Where did you meet this Absol?- Right over there. I point towards a cliff face above some tall grass.

- That Close!? Did you meet him today? - Well yeah. The disaster already happened, so crisis averted right? Sid gives me a skeptical look. -Just like that?-

Just like that. I answered. - Please tell me what happened. I want to trust you, but it seems like everywhere we go, trouble follows, even if some of it was my fault. - If you're talking about what happened at the daycare, no, you just had bad memories.

We're no where near there now, and we got out of worse jams. - Let's not talk about the past for now Alex, let's just talk about what happened these past 2 days.-

That's also talking about the past, but there's not much to tell. I cushioned my fall, when I landed on a slowpoke. I fought a trainer who challenged me with only water type pokemon, and then ran into Ribrieen after climbing a hill, and seeing a pile of berries.

-Really? Cause from what I heard, you got into a fight with a Crabrawler, which I'm sure I warned you about, and then stuck around to fight one of those things that comes out of shining holes in the air.-

I didn't have a choice Sid, it was hurting people. People that only wanted to help me. I know I'm stubborn, and can get into trouble, but I always wanted to be useful too.

Maybe I felt like I relied on you to make big decisions before, and wanted to try making some of my own.

Sigh, I get it, truth be told, I think I've been relying too much on you too. If you get into trouble, I need to be willing to help without waiting for you to tell me to. You're not my trainer, even if you sound a lot like her.

I do not, and I'm glad that you got here safe, but you still haven't told me your side of the story. Also I'm pretty  sure we've only been apart for a day, and a half.

The sun is only beginning to set right now. -Oh, so you Were keeping track of time for once.- I faceplant into the dirt.

(, We're here, you can stop blushing now. ,( I sputtered. I...I wasn't. I was just embarrassed. Also, where even is here? This is just a cliff! -He wants us to climb to up there. -

Sid points up to a toppled tree with an opening in the leaves that looks like a doorway. Nnnno.

Nooo. Noooooooo! (, If it's really that high for you, I can just carry you up. It wouldn't be that much of a hassle. ,(

Nooooooooooooo! -Uh, Alex, you're glowing again. (, How, can this be? . She doesn't even appear to be fully evolved yet. There's no way she could be... ,(

I ignored the pain, and noise as I felt a surge of energy course through my body, and leapt into the air.
