S1 Ep19: Dream on

Mr Shue introduced the glee club to Bryan Ryan, who was going to have a talk with them.

He instructed them to take out a piece of paper and write their biggest dream on it.

Gabriela took out the paper and wrote the word "actress" on it. She was going to follow in her mother's footsteps. She already had it planned out. She was going to study at Juilliard and become famous, more famous than her mother.

Mr Ryan took Artie's paper and through it in the bin.

"Your dream is never going to happen. 91% of you are going to spend your lives living in Allen County, Ohio." He harshly told them. "So unless you wrote your dream was to work for a mid-market health insurance provider, or find an entry-level job in an elderly-care facility, you're going to be really disappointed."

"Thats really depressing." Mercedes said.

"I'm going to guess that a lot of your dreams include showbiz. Well let me tell you, showbiz dreams are the most unrealistic of them all." Bryan warned the club.

"But thats what i want to do with my life." Tina told him

"Look I'm not trying to hurt your feelings. Im just trying to spare your disappointment."

"I think we get your point." Mr Shuester jumped in

"Will Shuester here's a prime example." Mr Ryan began."He used to have that glimmer of hope in his eyes, that i can see right now in all of your eyes."

Everyone turned their heads to look at Mr Shuester.

"But, he couldn't make it for himself, so now he's trying to convince you all that it'll happen for you. Guess what, his dream didn't work out. And neither will yours." He harshly told them causing Tina to cry.

Mr Shue told him to get out.

"I don't know Santana. What if Mr Ryan is right? What if my dream doesn't come true?" Gabriela said stressed out.

"Come on Gabby, you're super talented, plus im sure your mother's fame can help you." Santana consoled her.

"I know, but i want to make a name for myself, away from my mothers fame. When people think of Gabriela Moreno, I don't want them to think 'Oh her. She's Camila Moreno's child. Her mother made her. The only reading shes famous is because shes a nepo baby'. You know what i mean?" She told Santana.

"Don't worry, you're a star, and you're more likely to achieve your dream than anyone in that Glee club." Santana told her.

"Thanks Santana." She appreciated her best friend more than anything.

"Come on, lets go." Santana called her and joined their pinkies before walking to the choir room.

"I have good news guys." Mr Bryan Ryan told them opening a box. "I cut some of the Cheerios funds and I took a shopping spree through the Jazz hands catalog. You know why? because the arts matter." He told them
"And I got custom made New Directions jean jackets."

Brittany and Kurt went up to go get one.

"Also tear away dance clothes, along with sheet music from all the broadway musicals for the last 20 years." He said showing them more gifts.

Gabby turned to Brittany to see how the jacket looked. "It looks nice Britt. Definitely suites you." She told her.

"Thats amazing." Mr Shuester said to Bryan Ryan. "Lets all give a hand for Mr. Ryan."

Coach Sylvester came in and congratulated Mr Shuester for getting the role in Les Mis causing Mr Bryan Ryan to storm out. Not before saying he was going to cut the program.

"All right guys,Tina has something to share with us. But first I have something to tell you. You've all been reprived. Bryan Ryan isn't cutting Glee." Mr Shuester told them making everyone erupt in applause.

"Did he die?" Puck asked.

"No, he didn't die." Mr Shue said tossing the football he was holding ball to Puck. "He's gonna be distracted for a few months making return in Les mis. He got the lead role"

"But I thought you got the lead." Quinn said.

"I resigned. It was the price for keeping the club." He told them

"Sorry you had to do that Mr Shue." Finn apologized

"I'm not. I mean, the way I see it, I'm trading my one dream, for the chance that all 13 of you might find yours. I mean, come on, you can't argue with those numbers. So, lets start with Tina's dream." He said indicating for her to come up.

She done a dance number with Mike Chang.

Gabby opened the door to her house and put her bags on the table. The house was awfully quiet.

"Miguel?" She asked going into the kitchen. No body was there.

She went upstairs and and went to knock on his door. She regretted going even 5 feet within the door.

She went back down stairs and grabbed her stuff. She got into the car and drove to anywhere away from her house for now. But nothing could erase those sounds she heard coming from her cousins room.
