S1 Ep6: Vitamin D

"Come on guys you're sleep walking on me here." Everyone was in the choir room practicing the choreography for sectionals.

"Please Mr Shue, sectionals is gonna be a breeze." Mercedes said.

"Maybe so. But if we coast through sectionals we're going to get killed at regionals." he continued, "we have got to be on our game."

Suddenly kurt started laughing. "Sorry funny YouTube. Its a grape stomping one."

"Competition. Everyone of these people or elements was a champion in his own right. But they used competing with each other to make themselves even better." Mr Shue explained putting pictures on the board

"I don't understand how lightning is in competition with an above ground swimming pool." Kurt stated.

"Just go with it. You guys have become complacent. You were great at sectionals, but you gotta up your game if you wanna get through sectionals. Okay, split up. Guys on the left side girls on the right side."

The guys moved to the left and girls to the right. Kurt tried going to the girls side but mr Shue sent him back to the boys.

"Here's what you're gonna do," he began explaining, "Two teams, boys vs girls. One week from today, you will each perform a mash-up of your choice."

"Whats a mash up?" Puck asked.

"A mash up is when you take two songs and join them to make a richer musical explosion."

"Boys will perform on Tuesday, girls the next day. I want you guys to go all out. Whoever wins the competition, gets to choose the number we do for sectionals"

Gabby looked at Brittany and smiled.

"Wait. Whos going to be the judge?" your gender makes you biased." Rachel asked. Mr Shue said that there would be a celebrity judge.

Quinn , Gabby , Brittany and Santana walked off while Rachel and Mercedes spoke to each other.

"Alright girls its time to start." Rachel said.

"We're getting warmed up." Santana was busy plucking her eyebrows in a mirror.

Gabby was busy with her makeup standing next to Santana and Brittany was stretching.

"Where's Quinn?" Rachel wondered.

"Probably down at the mall looking for elastic waist pants" Brittany said. Everyone giggled.

"Mr Shuesters right you guys, we cant get complacent."

"Chill out." Gabby said.

"I already picked the songs. We're gonna do a mash up of Halo and walking on sunshine." Mercedes said.

"Yeah that was my idea."

"Whatever. Come on we can do this in our sleep. You think those dudes are going to give us any competition."

"I say we just wing it." Gabby suggested.

"We can't just wing it." Rachel explains.

"All those in favor of winging it?" Santana asks. "All those opposed." Only rachel puts her hand up.

Gabby dropped her eyelash curler so she bent over to pick it up, but Santana already picked it up for her. "Thanks"

"No problem." Santana said.

The boys performed way better than anyone thought they would. And Rachel wouldn't stop going on about it.

"I told you guys." She said.

"We know you've been parading us for the better part of an hour." Santana told her.

"Where they really that good?" Quinn asked. Gabby nodded as Rachel told her.

Rachel continued complaining.

Kurt came in. "The real question is what were they on."

Kurt had told them that Mrs Shuester had given them a vitamin D pill that boosted their energy.

"You each get a dose." Mrs Shuester said as she handed out cups with blue pills in to everyone "Except for you Quinn, you get foliac acid."

"Are you sure we should should be doing this?." Rachel questioned.

"Oh its safe. You can trust me, im a nurse." Mrs Shuester said.

Gabriela looked at Santana and then Brittany before swallowing the pills. She was sceptical but done it anyway

Everyone cheered. The girls performance went really well.

Principal Figgins found out about the pills that they took and Mr Shuester got in trouble. It was decided that he couldn't run the glee club on his own.

"Wait so who is going to be running the glee club with you?" Rachel asked the teacher

"Hey kids." Sue Sylvester said entering the choir room. 

Gabby and Brittany looked at each other smirking.

"I'm just thrilled to be coming on board to co-captain your little Showbiz cruise. Aw i can't wait to start singing and dancing, and maybe even putting on the Ritz a little bit." Sue sarcastically said.

A/N: Santana being kind to Gabby without it being awkward? Shocking honestly.

Also i apologise for my inconsistency on updates. School has just been crazy, and with Ramadan now here it'll be crazier, but i promise i will post at least 1 Chapter every week. I don't have a set day but sometime toward the end of the weeks i will update.
