S2 Ep1: Auditions- No show

Everyone stood around watching the clock tick away. It was already 4:58 and nobody had cone for auditions.

"Well, I hate to break it to you, but it doesn't seem like anyone's gonna be joining us. So I think we should just call it a day." Rachel said

"We said 3 to 5, its only 4:58" Mr Shue reminded her

"Just wait. My buddy Sam is gonna try out. He totally idolises me." Finn told them. Half of the New Directions already leaving.

"Face it Finn, you're no longer the quarterback. You're not the pied piper anymore, no one's gonna follow you around thinking everything you do is cool." Kurt told him.

Santana caught up with her best friend who had exited the choir room already

"So I guess the elephant didn't show up." Santana said to Gabriela while walking together.

"Yeah, I guess. Kinda disappointing." Gabriela sighed

"Maybe he's just terrible and afraid he'll embarrass himself in front of a pretty girl like you." Santana shrugged

"So, how's Andrea and the baby?" Gabriela asked her cousin as she opened the fridge to get her mango

"She's alright. The baby is very healthy. They said by the next visit we'll be able to find out if its a boy or girl." Miguel said excited.

Gabriela was really happy for him. He was going to have a family and she would have a niece or nephew that she would love no matter what.

"Thats great. I'm glad you're happy Miguel. I know you're going to have an amazing child and an amazing family. Congratulations"

"Thank you Gabriela. I hope you have an amazing family and kids as well." He smiled at her.

"Oh right, good luck for your job interview. I know you're going to get it."

Miguel had decided that he was going to get a job at the local news station to pay for rent until he's done with college.

"Thanks" He got up and placed a kiss on her forehead before leaving.

The glee club sat in the auditorium waiting to hear Sunshine Corazon sing. Apparently Rachel sent her to a crack house. It sounds like something she would do

"Hi, I'm Sunshine Corazon and I'll be singing 'Listen' from the movie Dream girls."

"Broadway show first." Rachel turned to the New directions.

"Shut up." Gabriela told her.

Everyone was impressed by her voice as soon as she started singing. Besides Rachel, obviously, who was threatened by her it.

Brittany, Gabriela and Santana swayed their hands in the air and danced in their seats.

By the end of the performance everyone clapped and cheered for her besides Rachel and her silly boyfriend Finn.

"Welcome to the Glee Club" Mr Shue announced.

Gabriela stood at her locker getting the books she needed for the next period when a boy approached her.

"Hey" He said leaning on the lockers

"Hi" Gabriela greeted back nonchalantly.

"Look, I'm sorry about not showing up for auditions. Coach Beiste made us run like a million laps, and by the time we were done it was too late." He said making up an excuse.

"Its alright, I get it." She told him

"I'd totally try out still, as soon as I get the chance. So? Is there still a chance I could" He asked.

"Yeah. You can come anytime." She told him with a smile.

"Can I walk you to class?" He said putting out his hand for her to take.

"Yeah" She took his hand in hers. They continued walking away, talking about random stuff.

Santana stood by her locker watching her best friend walking with the football player, disgusted by the sight of the two of them.

"Are you listening?" Brittany asked bringing her back to reality.

"Oh, yeah. Sorry. I'm sure Lord Tubbington will be alright." Santana replied, not taking her eyes off of the two walking down the hallway.

Brittany turned around to see what Santana was looking at. "They'd make a cute couple, right?" She asked Santana who only returned a shrug while glaring holes into the boys head.

She felt a weird feeling. A mixture of anger and something else. Could it be jealousy? No. Why would she be jealous of her best friend and that football playing idiot.
