Rob's POV:

After checking into the hotel that would become my home for the next several weeks I took a quick shower to get ready for the get-to-know party that David had organized for the whole crew in the lobby.

When I came down there was already a large group of people, all of them talking with both drinks and scripts in their hands, getting to know each other over the music amd chatting about the upcoming work.

I instantly spotted Kristen near the bar. She was wearing her usual Vans with blue jeans and a red crop top where I couldn't help but notice the perfection of her body. On the outside, she looked exactly like the 22 year old I had known so well back then. I instantly got myself a drink and gulped down several swigs before approaching David, who was standing next to Kristen and two other actors who would star next to us in the movie. When her eyes first met mine I was hit by what felt like a lightening through my chest. "Hey", we said at the exact same time, whereupon everybody in the group looked at us. We both blushed and smiled at each other and my body felt like it came to life after taking a very long nap. So many emotions rushed through my system all at once and I didnt know better than to take another sip of my Gin. Neither of us talked much for the next 20 minutes or so, David basically explained the whole schedule etc. for the upcoming week of rehearsals. Kristen and I would have table reads for three days and then have two days off before shooting would start.

After the serious part of the get together was over, everybody just mingled, talking to different people scattered across the couches of the hotel lobby. Kristen was sitting two couches down, diagonal from me when it happened. The second the song started playing it felt like someone pushed me off a cliff.

Beside You.

Our Song.

This can't be happening.

I must be hallucinating. But the second I looked over to where she was sitting I realised that I wasn't. She had a blank expression on her face and looked like she was about to throw up, all while staring directly into my eyes. This wasn't a dream. Fate must really be testing us. I saw her getting up, excusing herself to use the bathroom. What am I doing now? I couldnt simply keep talking to the person next to me. I mumbled something into his direction and got up. I contemplated following her to the bathroom but decided that that would be too much. I made my way over to the elevators, which happened to be located on the same hallway that led to the restrooms........
