Nunew's POV

I sigh for the 100th time. I look at the time seeing that it was 5:30 in the morning. After that dream I had , I couldn't sleep at all. I sat up , looking over to Nat. I then grabbed my robe , wearing it as I wore my slippers. I got out of bed gently , walking out of the room. I walked down the corridor as the guards bow. I was about to head to the living room when I saw someone in the training room.

I frown , peeking in seeing Zee , throwing some punches at a punching bag.

"Does he not sleep ?" I thought. He then stopped , breathing hard as he walked towards the bench. He took off his hoodie revealing his toned body. My eyes widened as I then looked away. I quickly walked away before he sees me.

I walked outside to the huge lake , sighing as I stretch my arms , closing my eyes as I feel the morning breeze.

Zee's POV

I grabbed a water bottle after training. I look out the window and soon saw Nunew near the lake. I took a sip of the water as I watch him. I soon felt a sharp pain on my head.

"Hia .. come here !"

I shook my head , holding it. I sigh as I turned back to Nunew not seeing him around.

"Are you spying on me ?" I turned seeing Nunew at the door.

"Why are you up so early your highness ?" I asked. He plopped down on the couch , crossing his legs.

"I couldn't sleep .." he answered.

"What about you ?" He asked.

"Same goes to me.." I said as he nod.

"Are you hungry ? I'll ask the maid to prepare breakfast .." I said as he shook his head. I then look at him , tilting my head.

"Then .. is something wrong your highness ? It looks like something is bothering you .." I said.

"Last night .. did you find out who attacked me ?" He asked.

"I can't tell you anything that happened last night .." I said.

"Why not ?" He asked.

"It's orders .. it's to make sure you won't be too worried about what happened." I said.

"Well then , I demand you to tell me whatever information you have about last night." He said.

"Your highness-."

"Are you going against my words ?" He asked as I sigh.

"No your highness .." I said as he then look at me.

"All we know is that he was paid to kill you. He does not know who was the person who ordered him to do so. Which is why I am trying my best to make sure that nothing happens to you." I said.

"But your highness , I would like to tell you that you cannot leave the place without any bodyguards with you. Also before you go anywhere , you have to me for permission." I said.

"Am I the prince or you are ? I don't think I need to ask any permission from you." He asked in disbelief.

"I am not a baby Zee , I don't need anyone following me around like a babysitter." He said.

"It's the matter of your safety. I can't let anything happen to you. It's my job to protect you no matter what your highness." I said.

"Fine then. If that's what you want .." he said as he got up , walking towards me.

"But I can't guarantee you my words .. as I say Khun Zee .. I am not a baby .. I don't need a babysitter." He said smirking. I chuckled as I stepped closer to him.

"Well then I just have to watch you closely. As what you say , your life is on my hands.. right your highness ?" I said returning the smirk. He look up to me before walking pass me. I look at him , chuckling as I crossed my arms.

"You can't run your highness." I thought.

Nunew's POV

"It seems like you and your new bodyguard get along very well .." said Nat as I drank my tea.

"Very well .." I said as I turned to Zee who was standing a few feet behind me. I sigh , dropping my head.

"What's wrong ?" He asked.

"It's just that he keeps following me everywhere. It's frustrating ..." I said.

"I mean that's the point of a bodyguard .." he said.

"But I am not a baby .. he is treating me like one .." I said.

"And now , he won't let me go anywhere without his permission." I said.

"Maybe because he really wants to protect you .. and plus after what happened last night , I would say the same thing myself .." said Nat as he ate his macaroons.

"Nat , you are supposed to be on my side not his." I said as he chuckled.

"Look at the end of the day , I know Zee has good intentions of keeping you safe .." He said.

"I gotta go , your father needs me to issue some contracts .." he said.

"Yah , are you my bestfriend or my father's ?" I asked.

"I am your best friend , just that I am also your father's secretary .." he said.

"I love you Nhu , I'll see you soon .." he said patting my head as he walked away. I turned back as Nat nod towards Zee. Zee bowed making me roll my eyes. I slammed my head on the table , frowning.

"If this is hell , just burn me to death." I thought , whining.

I walked around my own library , looking for a book to read when I saw Zee and Max walking outside. I look out the window , sighing.

"He wants to keep imprisoned in this house who does he think he is ?" I said , pouting.

Zee's POV

"I heard from Nat that you do not allow the young prince to leave the house without your permission .." he said as I chuckled.

"How daring of you .." he continued.

"It's my job to protect him. He could have been killed last night. We need to be more cautious about our surroundings. If I let his highness to go out all by himself. It would make him more vulnerable to threats." I said.

"Well played Zee .." he said making me chuckle.

"I am a bodyguard for a reason .." I said making him chuckle in disbelief.

"By the way , what's your relationship with Nat ? It seems like he's been telling you a lot of things." I said.

"It's nothing serious. We just have a good friendship." He said.

"Yeah , good friendship .." I said , shaking my head.

"What , it's true .. we just have a healthy communication .." he said as I walked. I then stopped my tracks seeing Nunew who was in the library making me chuckle lightly.
