Kanin's POV

I breathe in and out before opening the door to father's office.

"Father .." I said making him turn.

"Ah Kanin , come son .." he said as I sat on the chair.

"So what brings you here hm ?" He asked.

"There's something I would like to tell you .." I said making him frown.

"And what is that son ?" He asked. I breathe in and out , fiddling with my fingers.

"I .. um ... I .." I look at Father , feeling nervous.

"I .. am seeing someone .." I confessed making him freeze.

"You are seeing someone ? That's great son .." he said making me look at him.

"So who is she ? Is she a princess ? Do I know her ?" He asked with full of hope.

"Father ... I am not seeing a girl ..." I said making him frown.

"Father .. me and Charan are seeing each other .." I said as he did not say anything but leaned back on his chair.

"Father , I really love Charan .. I am sure he is the one for me and I-..." I said as Father put his hand up for me to stop talking.

"You are in love with Charan ?" He asked and I nod making him sigh , massaging his temple.

"Father .. I-."

"I do not accept such relationships." He said making my eyes widened.

"But Father .."

"Break up with Charan. Immediately." He said , getting up.

"No .." I said making him turn to me.

"No ?" He asked as I clutch my fist.

"No !" I said , getting up as he approached me.

"I love Charan Father , he is the one for me ! And he loves me for who I am !" I fought.

"Kanin Asawathin , you are a prince ! A son of a King !" He scolded.

"So ? That won't stop me from loving someone I love !" I fought back.

"Then what am I supposed to say to people ? That my son is gay ? That he is dating a guy ?!" He exclaimed taking me aback.

"This is all because you are afraid of what people are going to say ?" I asked in disbelief.

"Father , I am your son , you should not be caring about others opinions !" I said.

"Kanin Asawathin , I don't like to repeat myself ! You are a prince ! You are next in throne ! You need to get married to a princess ! That's part of tradition !" He shouted.

"But I don't want to be the next king ! I want to be just me ! I want to be with Charan !" I shouted.

"Father , have you once asked me what I want ?! Have you ?!" I shouted and soon he slapped me across the face.

"Father !" Shouted Karin as she walked in. I held my burning cheek as Karin held my arm. I look at Father , clutching my fist as tears rolled down.

"I will never accept your relationship with your bodyguard , Kanin Asawathin , till I die." He said as I breathed hard. I push Karin's hand away , storming out of the room.
