Zee's POV

I groan as he then approached me. I got up slowly , fighting the pain on my back.

"I finally get to see you .." He said behind the mask.

"You know , because of you , my plan to kill the prince is always ruin .." he said as I clutch my fist.

"Who are you and why do you want to kill the prince so badly ?" I asked.

"Thats simple , I want the throne ... I want the money .." He said , chuckling.

"But first , I have to kill you. So that my job will be easier .." he said.

"Then let's get it done .." I said before charging towards him. I threw my punches but he blocked it. He then swing his hand making the knife cut my arm. I touch it , seeing blood. I chuckled as he then laugh. He then charged towards me as I dodged his knife. His knife then cut my chest slightly making me groan in pain.

"You are weak Zee." He said.

"I won't let you hurt the prince .." I groan as I got up. I kicked the knife out of his hand making him groan in frustration. I then punched him across the face making his mask broke a little. He look at me with his mask half broken , revealing partially of his face. I frown and suddenly he kicked me on the stomach making me fall. I groan , holding my stomach. He then charged towards me but I quickly move away , kicking him on the arm making him fall back. I breathe hard , groaning in pain. I then saw him crawling towards the knife. I got up , running towards the knife but he got it before I could kick it away.

He got up and soon my eyes widened , feeling a sharp pain on my lower rib. I look down seeing the edge of the knife , stabbed into my skin. I groan as he chuckled , smirking.

"I would love to kill you now .. but there won't be fun in it .." he said , I grip his wrist , trying to push the knife out of my skin.

"I am gonna wait for the right time to kill you .." he said as I breathe hard. He then took out his knife , kicking me on the chest making me fall through the glass windows of the balcony.

- 5 minutes before -

Nunew's POV

I frown , still not seeing Zee. I place my drink down , walking towards Nat.

"Have you seen Zee ?" I asked.

"No , he was with Max ..." He said as I then left the ballroom.

"Nhu ! Wait !" Said Nat as he followed me out. I then saw Max at the corridor.

"Max .." I said making him turn.

"Your highness , what are you doing here ?" He asked.

"Where's Zee ?" I asked.

"Zee .. he went to check the back .." he said making me frown.

"What ?" I asked.

"Someone broke into the house by the window , so Zee asked me to check the front while he checks the back ... up till now there's no update .." he said and I sigh.

"I am going to look for him." I said , walking away.

"But your highness !"  Said Max.

"Nhu !" Called Nat but I ignored the both of them , heading towards the balcony.

I was walking towards the balcony when out of a sudden , someone came bursting through the glass windows. I covered myself with my arms as the glass flew everywhere. My eyes widened seeing a familiar body.

"Zee !" I shouted , running towards him. I got on my knees and soon my eyes widened seeing him all beaten up and huge cuts on his arm and chest. I then look up seeing a guy with a broken mask.

"I'll come after you soon , your highness .." he said before disappearing from the balcony. I breathe hard as I look at Zee. I then saw blood on his lower part of his ribs. I then realized he got stabbed. I quickly placed my hand on his wound , not caring whether my hands will get all bloody.

"Zee !" I shouted.

"Nhu .." he groan as I breathe hard.

"Stay with me , it's okay , everything will be okay .." I said as his eyes slowly closed making me shake my head.

"Zee !" I shouted.

"Max !!" I called out.

"Zee !" I shouted , panicking as I cupped his cheeks.

"Max !!" I shouted as I tapped Zee's cheek , trying to get him up. Max and Nat came running and soon they froze.

"Zee !" Shouted Max as he came beside me.

"We need to get him treated now !" I shouted as Max nodded.

"Nat get the doctor now !" I shouted as Nat nod , running off.

"Let's move him to the room now .." said Max as he then carried Zee in his arms as we ran up to my room. I open the door as Max groan , placing Zee on the bed as he then put pressure on the wound. Soon Nat appeared with the doctor. The doctor went straight to check on Zee.

"He's losing blood , we need to do a surgery now .." he said before cutting Zee's turtle neck , revealing wound. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I see Zee in that state. Max then turned to me.

"Nat , get the prince out of here." Said Max.

"What ?" I asked as Nat grabbed my arm.

"He'll be okay Nhu .. come on !" Said Nat as he pulled me out of the room. The door shut as I push Nat's hand gently. Tears stream down my face. I breathe hard as Nat then caress my back. I turned to Nat as I then cried. Nat pulled me to his embrace as I then sobbed in his arms.

- a few hours later -

I sat down on the stairs as Nat placed a blanket over my shoulder.

"Drink up .." he said as he hand me a water. I drank the water , sighing. Nat caress my back , comforting me.

"Your highness , all of the guest has been escorted out safely .." Said James as I nod.

"What about my father ?" I asked.

"He was escorted safely too .." he said.

"Thank you James .." I said as he then bowed , walking down the stairs. I look down to my hand that was stained red due to the blood. Soon the door open making me turn seeing Max and the doctor. Me and Nat quickly got up as I clutch the sheets anxiously.

"How is he ?" I asked.

"Don't worry , Khun Zee is doing fine , we are lucky he didn't lose too much blood and that the wound wasn't too deep in .." said the doctor as I sigh in relief.

"But he had to get a few stitches .. so he'll be okay in about 2-3 weeks .." He said.

"We put anesthesia on him .. so he is now asleep .." he continued as I nod.

"Thank you doctor .." I said as he bowed.

"Max .. escort him out .." I said as Max nod. I removed the sheets around me.

"I'll go see Zee .." I said as Nat nod. I walked into the room , seeing Zee asleep on the bed with a pale face and bandages on his body. I slowly sat down beside him making the edge of the bed sink a little. I shakily held his hand , kissing his hand as tears rolled down my cheeks.

"You are okay .. you are okay  .." I whispered shakily as I then sobbed silently , holding his hand tightly.
