You three back arrived at Toby's house, waiting to meet the gnome. You had an unerasable smile on your face, but you didn't know why. In Toby's room, there was a doll house, it was very beautiful and fully furnished. Jim stepped aside and revealed the gnome that was running around in his new home.
"Awh!" you exclaimed as you laid down on the wooden floor to watch the gnome closer. "I thought he was attacking me, but all he wanted was a home," Jim explained. "Look, he's even found a friend!" The gnome was sitting on the plastic couch with a female action figure that looked like she was from space dressed in red. He was serenading her with a lute and a song he had made himself. "He has the mind of a vermin, but the soul of an artist," Toby sighed with a smile.
"I can't belive you managed to do that, Jim. It's really impressive," you praised him, your eyes still on the gnome. But in your side view you could see a small coat of blush graze his face. "It was nothing really, I'm just a beginner," he admitted, flustered and flattered. "I haven't seen a Trollhunter with your potential in a long time," you insisted. Toby turned his head to Jim, seeing his embarrassed face grow red. He almost exclaimed, but caught himself in the act, trying not to embarrass his best friend further.
"Blinky said we needed to 'take care of him,'" Jim changed the subject, dragging a finger across his throat in a killing manner, "but what if we, like, take care of him?" He gestured towards the gnome, still serenading the space ranger next to him. "I know it's not exactly the second rule to Trollhunting, but for this one, maybe we do it in our own way. Without the murdering?" Jim suggested, making Toby jump up to his feet in joy.
"We can keep him?" he exclaimed. Jim looked at me for reassurance. "It would be ok, if we don't tell anyone else about him and keep him safe," I smiled, knowing how much Toby wanted to keep the little guy. "Guys, I already have a name," he almost exploded with joy. "Gnome Chompsky." "Chompsky. I like it," Jim smiled.
My gaze wondered back to Chompsky and his 'friend'. He scooched his way over to her with his harm on top of the plastic couch. I chuckled softly, finding his cheeky grin and attempt to flirt with an inanimate object extremely adorable.
"Jim, I think she really liked what you did there," Toby whispered to Jim, both of them standing. "I didn't know girls liked stuff like that," Jim breathed to Toby. "That's good man, keep doing what you're doing!" Toby encouraged. I got up from the floor, noticing the others had too, and once I got up, Jim closed the pink door to the doll house, leaving Chompsky and his new friend with some privacy.
"Pretty good for a first mission," he said. "Two crises averted. It's not like you get to rehearse these things." "Yeah, you did a good job!" I agreed, meeting his proud face. "Now, who's in for a drink at Trollmarket?" "Woho! Let's go Jimbo!" Toby excitedly said. I took that as a yes.

Further away, in the town museum, there was something strange going on. Something evil. Strickler walked through the darkly lit museum, bearing a wooden box with a red apple on top of it. He stopped walking a few metres away from a large exhibit, covered with a large piece of cloth, hiding it from sight.
A deep growl appeared from behind him and a big, dark figure approached. "You're late." Bular's eyes glowed bright red an orange in the dark room, lighting up parts of his wrecked face. "And you're impatient," Strickler replied firmly as Bular kept walking to stand beside him. "I was witing for another package to arrive," Strickler explained to the impatient Gumm-Gumm, turning to face him. Bular grabbed the box from Strickler's grip, leaving him with just the apple.
He tore the lid off the box and reached for what was inside. He held the precious stone in his hand and smashed the wooden box to the ground. With a sigh he aproached the covered exhibit, a smile on Strickler's face. Bular aggressively tore a piece of the cloth aside, revealing a half-finished bridge of stone just like the piece he was holding.
The stone in his hand got a blue glow around it and levitated from the beasts hand. It floated all the way to the stone bridge and placed itself in just the position it needed to fit in and become one with the unfinished bridge. They were one step closer.
"Killahead Bridge will soon be complete," Strickler spoke. "Our man from Germany wull be arriving with more pieces soon," he informed, rubbing the red apple in his shirt. "And my father will know freedom and glory," Bular said, imagining him and his father's endless regin over both worlds.
"Hey! What are you doing in here?" a nightguard broke their moment. Bular turned around with a killer look in his eyes, making the guard gasp and whimper in fear before he ran away. "You were followed?" Bular hissed at Strickler. "Of course not," Strickler said confidently. "I brought you a midnight snack," he smiled devilishly, examining his apple. Bular growled determinedly before he lept to catch his snack.
Strickler smiled his evil smile. Screams and the sound of breaking bones were heard in the distance as Strickler raised the crisp apple to his mouth. He took a shattering bite.
