we got to the place and the officer started walking us to the scene.
"Bow hunter was tracking a deer, stumbled across the drop tank." he explained
"He the one who opened the hatch?" gibbs asked
"That's right." he answered
we saw the open hatch and everyone screwed their eyes and the crispy human
"How did he get so" kate started
"Ah, I believe mummified is the adjective you were searching for." ducky said "Ah, the tank must have been airtight, creating a hermetic environment."
"No air, no bugs, no critters." toni took a picture
"And more important - no bacteria." i say "so nothing can contaminate the body"
"Got an estimated time of death, Duck?" gibbs asked
" Very amusing, Jethro." ducky said
gibbs walked off while i took sketches and toni took a photo of me
"what was that for?" i ask
"why not? make it the front of my 2 year anniversary card" toni said
"celebrating two years working for ncis?" i scoff "how about 3 year anniversary of being saved from my tortures" i say "where my card for this" i take of my jumper showing part of my back full of ugly sharp scars going up and down my back
"yeah you win" toni said
"Lieutenant Commander Farnsworth - think he's our mummy?" kate asked
"I dunno. Bag it. " gibbs said
"Ah, I can't do anything for this gentleman until we cut him out of here." ducky said
"I know what this is, boss." toni said
"Ah - external fuel tank?" gibbs said sarcastically
"Ah - 370 gallon external fuel tank off an F14 Tomcat. A few were converted into camera or cargo pods; this one's a cargo pod." toni said he looked so hot there being all smart
what? let me have the little moments hes smart okaty?
"I'm impressed." kate said
"Didn't become an NCIS agent yesterday, Kate." toni said "As a matter of fact, tomorrow - "
"Will have been two years." gibbs cut him off
"That's kind of touching, Gibbs, remembering the day you hired me." toni said
"Yeah, well, it seemed like a good idea at the time." gibbs said i pointed and laughed
he went to go after me and i ran away
"Get a flatbed, take our Lieutenant and his pod back home with us." gibbs said to me as i got to his side
"Let me guess. You're gonna suggest I ride back in the flatbed with the body to keep it safe." i say meaning toni as the driver of the truck
"Wasn't a suggestion." gibbs said walking away
