"That sounded so domestic," she giggles, making Louis' head bounce up and down slightly as it rests on her tummy.

"What did?" Louis asks with furrowed eyebrows.

"Oh I was just thinking of earlier when you said see you at home, it's so domestic." She teases, but she loved it.

"Is that a good thing?"

"It's a great thing." She confirms.

"What do you think the future will be like?" He asks suddenly.

"Do you mean like our future or robots and aliens taking over the world?"

He laughs breathlessly, "Ours, or that." He shrugs, "Whatever you want to talk about I guess. Sorry if this is way too soon."

"No it's okay, it's always okay to say what you want to." She says reassuring him.

"Is it now?" He says wiggling his eyebrows.

"Louis, really. Get your mind out of the gutter." She deadpans and ruffles his hair.

"That's not supportive," he says indignantly.

"Okay well supportively get your mind out of the gutter," she says in a fake sweet tone.

"Not likely," he says and they both laugh.

She loves times like this, when it's just the two of them late at night. When everything else is quiet and it gives them the space to be honest.

They're in Louis' room as always, he's laying with his head on her tummy and she has one hand in his hair. Her other hand is being held up by his as he plays with her fingers. He's so cuddly at night, she loves cuddly Louis.

"I think our future will be like this, bickering but in a kind and fun way." She says after thinking a minute. The picture of what might be starting to form in her mind.

He looks up at her,  "Do you want kids?" He asks quietly.

"I think so," she replies with a small nod.

"Yeah?" He perks up and his eyes light up. She she could just cry from how cute he is.

"How many?" He asks.

"How many do you want?" She asks instead of answering.

"7." He says sounding very sure of himself.

"No, hard pass." She says shaking her head.

He sits up, "Hard pass?" He asks with a laugh.

A weird way to respond, but it's the first thing that comes to her mind.

"Louis that is far too many," she tries to reason, but he looks unconvinced. "7, think about that a minute. Imagine 7 Niall's."

"Okay, maybe 7 is a stretch." He concedes.

"I was thinking more like 3." She says.

"How about 5?" He counters.

"How about 4 and a dog?" She offers, she knows he loves dogs.

"4 and 2 dogs." He says and reaches his pinky out to her.

"Deal," she says grabbing his finger with hers.

He lays back down again, but this time next to her so she can rest her head on his chest.

"Can we name the dog Clancy?" Louis asks randomly.

"Clancy? Louis, seriously what is wrong with you?" She asks as she looks up at him with furrowed eyebrows.

"What? I think its a great name!" He says leaning his head down to look at her, effectively giving himself three chins.

"You can name a pet rock Clancy."  She says.

"A pet rock? Really?" He exclaims.

"A fish, at most. Maybe a house plant." She offers.

"I'll take a fish." He says, seriously considering it.

"Can you keep a fish alive?" She teases.

"That's rude!" He says dramatically and far too loud for this time of night.

"Sorry, sorry. I'm sure you'd make a wonderful fish parent." She says smoothing his hair back off his forehead.

"Thank you," he leans down and kisses her.

They kiss for a while and then let silence fall between them as they lay on their sides and look at each other.

It's getting later into the night and she can see Louis' eyes want to start to close.

"Louis?" She says softly.

"Yeah lovely?" He asks with a small yawn.

"I'm really happy we're together," she says and he immediately wraps his arms around her to bring her closer.

He kisses her forehead and them moves his face so his nose bumps hers. "I am too sweetheart, I really am."

"You really mean a lot to me and I'm really, really happy I met you." She says feeling all sappy in her tiredness.

"Hm," he hums, "I'm really," he pauses to kisses her, "Really glad I met you too." He cuddles more into the pillows and pulls her to his chest as she curls up into him.

And just as she thought she couldn't be more gone for this boy, he says, "Think you're the best thing that's ever happened to me."
