"I'm so excited," Louis says, turning to look at Natalie as they sit in the back of the car. He hasn't let go of her hand the whole time, she loves it.

"Me too," she says softly and leans against his shoulder. "Remember the last time we sat next to each other in the car?" She asks suddenly, sitting up.

"Yeah, I do." He muses fondly.

"So different now," she says quietly.

"Not really." He shrugs.

"Not really?!" She shrieks.

He laughs at her, a full belly laugh that makes the stupidest smile come to her face.

"What ever do you mean by that Louis?" She sasses.

He shrugs and looks down, "I don't know how to explain it."

"Hm, that's okay." She sticks her hand on his arm, trying to reassure him.

"Well I do know how, but it's embarrassing." He chuckles shyly.

"You can tell me anyway, if you want. I won't judge." She says with a smile, and she means it.

"Okay," he takes a deep breathe.

She's not used to him being shy like this, it's horribly endearing.

"I mean it's obviously different. It's a world of difference, but in a way, it feels the same."

She nods intently so he knows she's listening.

"You gave me butterflies. I didn't want you to get up, same as now."

He's so pure and innocent in that moment, almost insecure. She's not sure how to tell him he's all she thinks about.

"Hey Louis?"

"Yes, love?"

She leans over and hugs him, breathing in his scent. He's so safe and warm and she feels so loved when she's with him. They haven't used that word, but she doesn't know how to tell him how she feels without it.

She does know though, she isn't ready to say it. She pulls back to look at him.

"Do you like the butterflies?"

"What?" He asks his eyebrows furrowing.

"Do you like the feeling the butterflies give you?"

"Yes." He nods.

"Then I hope I don't ever stop giving you them," she says. It's not much, but it's what she can give for now.

He accepts this answer happily, a huge smile coming over his face. His hands come up to cup her cheeks and he brings her lips to his.

She's not sure how long they stay like that, leaning into each other, but she knows it's long enough that they're both running out breathe. Even when they pull back, they stay so close to each other that they breathe in each other's exhales.

Maybe not the most effective for breathing, but it's nice being so close to him.

They aren't parted long before their lips are on each others again, that is until one of the security guards clears his throat.

"Sorry, um," he clears his throat again, "We're here."

Natalie pulls away from Louis with a blush over her whole face. Louis in true fashion, smiles brightly and pulls her into her chest. He's never embarrassed to show how much he cares for her, she admires that.

They walk hand in hand to the bleachers. Their steps fall in sync and they probably look funny matching from head to toe, but she couldn't care less.

She's so happy.

The game starts shortly after they arrive and Louis is immediately super into it. Natalie on the other hand is too busy watching him. The way his face lights up when a team scores, doesn't matter which, he's happy for both teams which is just too cute.

He's so into it, he's on the edge of his seat half the time. His eyebrows are furrowed and he throws his hands in the air when the ref makes what he considers to be a bad call. He chit chats the entire time and she's not sure she hears all the words he's saying, but she's happy to listen.

The sun is warm on her face and it's so easy to just sink into the crowd and feel lost. But in a good way, no one's paying attention to them, they can just be.

As the first quarter ends, she lays her head on Louis' shoulder and snuggles into him.

"You okay, love?"

"Mm hm," she mumbles. "So happy, the sun is so warm and," she moves to look up at him, "You. I like being with you."

He leans down to kiss her and huddles her into him. The bench isn't quite wide enough for the two of them to sit comfortably, but they manage. Louis sits back against the bleachers behind him and pulls her to his chest as she sits between his legs.

Half time comes around and Louis gets up to get the two of them food. She watches him from across the field talking excitedly to another fan. She smiles at him as he sends her a little wave.

"Got us a pretzel and a sprite," Louis announces when he gets back to the bench.

"Thank you," she replies and takes the drink from him.

"I can't believe you don't like hot dogs, how unamerican of you."

She shrugs and takes another sip of their drink. They eat in silence and the game picks up again. This half she decides she'll actually pay attention and she really enjoys herself.

Both the teams play well, she and Louis place bets on who they think will win and who will score next. They both win some of the time, they bet small things like who gets to pick the next movie, and Natalie's favorite bet 2 pennies.

"2 pennies?"

She nods at him.

"That's nothing."

"Right, that's why I have no problem betting it." She shrugs.

He laughs and kisses her forehead.

She smiles up at him, "Alright, for you I'll bet 3 pennies."

He kisses her lips this time and then they turn their attention back to the game. The red team wins, she can't remember the names of the teams, but it was a good game all the same.

They decide to take a walk after the game is over, not quite ready to go home yet.

"I don't want this date to end," Natalie sighs as they start to near the car again.

"Then we wont let it," Louis says bringing her hand up to his lips to kiss.

"What do you mean?" She asks.

Louis grabs her hand and runs away with her, dragging her along as she giggles.

She feels so free with Louis. She's never worried about being too much or too loud or too childish, she feels accepted and its so nice.

"Thank you," Louis says when they come to a stop.

"For what baby?" She asks putting both her hands on his cheeks.

"For planning today and making it extra special."

"You're extra special to me." She says and he blows out a breathe of air in a laugh.

She pushes his cheeks together, "My little fish." She says with a wide smile and kisses his squished lips.

She pulls her hands away and he wraps his arms around his waist, her go around his neck.

"I'm not small you know." He pouts.

"No, not small, just the perfect size."

His hands grab her waist and he hoists her up, her legs wrapping around his waist. "And you're perfect for me."
