After a quick change into something more suitable to meet Narcissa and Lucius in (I wasn't sure my trousers and t-shirt would suffice despite Dracos protests that they wouldn't care) I opted for a spaghetti strap dress, cardigan and heels, we headed off. Draco and I stepped into the fireplace, and less than 5 seconds later, we were stepping out at Malfoy residence.

Unlike usual, there was no one here this time to greet us, and I was beginning to worry.

"Stop panicking," Draco chuckled lightly. "My parents adore you. I'm sure they just want to hear for themselves what happened last night." He took my hand and kissed my wrist. "Let's go find them."

As is always the way in England, it was a lovely sunny day, despite the week being a complete washout. Draco led me out of the lounge we arrived in and headed across the foyer to the door to the left. A room I had not yet seen.

It was a beautiful living room. The marble shiny floor from the foyer made it a way into this room also, and along the wall opposite were huge two storey windows with elegant gold curtains and pelmets above. The chaises were the same gold material with a cream leaf print in the stitching.

Vases, flowers, and painting decorated the room. It was a far cry from the old Malfoy Manor decor. This was airy glamorous and breathtaking. On the sofa looking up expectantly at us were Lucius Malfoy and his wife.

Lucius long locks today were tied up in a pontail, and his outfit was less formal than I had ever seen him. With a pair of grey trousers and a plain white shirt, he looked relaxed and younger than I remember.

Narcissa, too, looked less formal than usual in her burgundy skirt and top. She still oozed glamour with her flowing hair hanging down to one side but more relaxed as well. She looked up as we entered, noticed our conjoined hands, and smiled.

"Addalie, Draco," she almost purred. "How lovely to see you both."

"Narcissa, it's so nice to see you again," I replied as she kissed my cheek and then her sons.

"My dear, it's always a pleasure having you here," Lucius said, kissing my hand.

"It's good to see you. Thank you for the potions last week. It's been fantastic having you on board to help out."

He smiled wider. "It's been great fun to be potioning again. I am feeling much more myself than I have in years."

"Any particular reason you called us here, father?" Draco asked, sitting down on the free sofa and pulling me with him.

Lucius mouth twitched almost in a smile. "Well, I sat down to read my morning papers, when who should I see on the front page but you too."

I blushed. "Would that be The Prophet or The Quibbler?"

"Both, actually. I have become very fond of The Quibbler in recent months." He leaned back in his seat. "So, how long has this been going on?" He gestured between the two of us.

I looked to Draco. "It's been no secret that I have liked your son for a long time. But officially, it only started last night after his break up."

"That wretched girl." Narcissa complained. "I am so glad you finally came to your senses and left her." She rolled her eyes. "Took you long enough."

"Yes, in the romance department, our son seems to be as oblivious as a turkey in December." Lucius chucked. "I'm glad he had some sense knocked into him."

"So," Narcissa said, practically vibrating in her seat. "Tell us what happened?"

I looked to Draco and let him tell the story as it was after all his to tell. And he did. Everything. From kissing me yesterday afternoon, me telling him to sort out Astoria first, to catching her in a compromising position, to everything she said about me to her being kicked out.
