So where to?" Draco asked as we started off.
"Everywhere," I laughed in response. "I want to see the Quidditch grounds, the Owlery, the lake, the boathouse, and I would also like to visit my uncle and Severus' graves."
"Ok, let's head this was then and over the viaduct to the Hagrids Hut," Draco said, taking my hand as we headed off. "I always wanted to have a girlfriend to walk around school with. Funny, I had to wait three years after I graduate to get my wish."
"So you never had a girlfriend during school?"
"Are you serious? No! I didn't do commitment then. I had plenty of hookups. But not a girlfriend. Actually, Astoria was my first girlfriend. Even then, we rarely did any couple type things. You are my first proper girlfriend in that case."
"Really?" I asked, shocked.
"Yeah, I never went on walks with Astoria, never held her hand actually, and we never talked like this. The only time I saw her was when there was an event or dinner party. And that suited me perfectly. But with you." we headed into the Viaduct. "With you, it's all different. I want to be with you all the time. I want to experience everything with you. I want to see what you see and share everything with you."
"Well, I am honoured." I smiled. I stopped halfway down the viaduct to take in the view. "I forgot how beautiful the castle is."
"Like a picture, isn't it?"
That made something click in my mind. "Oh, I almost forgot!" I dove into my pocket of my dress and pulled out a small clutch bag which I opened and produced a small camera. "I bought this a while ago for tonight to take some pictures of my own."
"That little thing is a camera?" Draco asked.
"A muggle one that I sort of modified. But yes." I held it in the air. "Ok, come in close so we can get a picture with the castle in the background."
"Yes ma'am," Draco smirked but pulled me close to him, so our cheeks were touching as I snapped the picture. He then leaned in and kissed me as I snapped again.
We made our way down the grounds to the bottom where Hagrids Hut sat.
"It doesn't look the same as it did before," Draco said absentmindedly.
"No, em...that night after my uncle died, Bellatrix set fire to Hagrids home, so it had to be rebuilt. And we made it a bit bigger so he had more space."
"Oh...yeah, I forgot." He frowned.
"I think we did a pretty good job, didn't we?" I asked, smiling, trying to distract him.
"Yeah, you did." He didn't look up. Time to move on.
"So the owlery next?"
We headed back up the hill, cutting across the grass up the Owlery to see the beautiful birds. I would come here every Saturday morning to write to Sirius and Remus. Both men became like uncles to me. I adored them both. Sirius gave advice on pranks and spells, helping me practice. Remus gave me life lessons and fatherly advice. They knew every aspect of my life. Both spent the summer between 4th and 5th year at the castle with me after Cedric's death. I had intorduced both men to him more than once. My uncle and grandfather too. Remus never thought much of my relationship with Theo. He said that if the boy truly loved me, he wouldn't be hiding me. Actually, Remus was the one I contacted when I caught Theo with Lavender. Of course Sirius heard and sent a stinging jinx to Theo the next day.
One thing I didn't miss was the bloody smell of that place. We didn't stay too long. Just long enough for a very dark coloured owl to land on Draco's head. And I now had the photographic evidence to prove it.
