I have no idea if he stayed there or if he went home. I went to bed. Alone. I didn't cry. I didn't huff. I wasn't even angry. I should have known that it wouldn't be plain sailing for me when it came to a relationship.
Just look at my record.
I was a bloody fool.
I got up the next day and headed down to the kitchen, making toast and coffee for breakfast. When Pansy came downstairs, with Theo, who must have spent the night, they looked at me like a china doll.
I, however, was feeling fine. "Breakfast?" I asked in a sing-song voice. "I've made coffee over there too," I smiled as I sat at the table.
"Is Draco here?" Pansy asked.
"No," I looked at her, confused.
"Oh....I thought maybe because you were in a good mood, he apologised for being a dick." She sighed.
"Oh, he did." I answered.
"He did?"
"Yip, and now he has to figure out what he wants. And I am not going to sit around and pine over him. I have work to do. This machine is so close to being finished. It's too important not to give it my full attention."
"I guess," Theo said, uncertain.
"Pansy, will you take that box to the shop with you? It's just more carrier bags for the customers. Oh, and I ordered little shopping baskets. I hated the metal ones, so I ordered cute little wicker ones."
"Sounds lovely," Pansy said, watching my every move.
"Guys, honest, I am fine. If Draco wants me, he knows where I am. If not, well then, I will deal with it then." I shrugged.
"You are incredible. I would be a mess," Pansy shook her head.
"Well, let's just say that Draco's behaviour last night - it's not the first time I've experienced it. I am a bit of a Pro now. Sorry Theo, I didn't mean any offence."
"No, you are right," he shrugged.
"Right, I am off. Blaise should be arriving at the warehouse soon to talk about the launch. Wish me luck," I took one last bite of toast and then stood, taking my coffee cup with me, and I headed to the fireplace. I ducked in, grabbed some powder, and threw it down, shouting 'my warehouse' as green flames engulfed me, and a few seconds later, I was standing in the security office of the warehouse. "Morning Bryan, how is Ella?" I smiled as I headed off out of the office.
"Not long to go now. Healer said it should be any day now," he chirped happily.
"Did you give her the box of potions and tonics?" I asked, turning around.
"Addalie, I have no idea what you gave her, but apparently it's miracle stuff, and you are a legend!" He chuckled. "Thank you."
"Well, tell her the blue tonic will be like miracle juice when her contractions hit!"
"I will," he smiled again before turning back to the screens. Bryan was a muggleborn wizard and, therefore, was well used to muggle technology like my security cameras and screens. He was great!
I headed off to a secluded part of the warehouse, my lab. I cornered off a section for myself to work in. It wasn't too big. Roughly the size of a shipping container, according to the warehouse manager, Phillip. It gave me room to work, and the two may mirror allowed me to see out, but the employees couldn't see in. I set to work, doing last-minute checks and tidy ups on the machine. I loved my little lab.
It's the perfect place to hide out.
Well , it was for about two hours when I looked up to see Blaise walking towards the doors. He waved, not being able to see me but knowing full well I was in here. But he wasn't alone. A very miserable Draco was walking behind him, dragging his feet.
