"Anyone home?" I heard from the living room as I lifted the lasagne out of the oven.
"I got it," Draco said behind me as he headed off into the living room to greet our guests. I could hear the polite 'hellos' and 'thanks for having us' as I finished setting the dining room table.
"Addie?" Hermione's voice sounded from the kitchen.
"I'm here," I smiled, walking back in and greeting her.
"I wondered where you had got to." She smiled and then sniffed the air. "Something smells wonderful. Do you need a hand with anything?" She asked.
"I think I have it pretty much ready to go. Where are the boys?" I asked, looking past her to the living room.
"Something about the conservatory being renovated into a bar? Draco and Ron are in there now discussing ideas and plans." She motioned behind her, and sure enough, I could hear the boys chatting happily about ideas and drinks and plans.
"Something tells me I am going to regret telling Draco he could do that." I laughed. "Boys! Dinner is ready!" I called and gestured for Hermione to head to the dining room, which she did.
"This is so lovely," Hermione beamed. "You didn't have to do all this just for us. We would have been happy with paper cups and plastic forks," she giggled.
I had laid out the food on the table, which was lit my candlelight.
Ron and Draco walked into the room and sat down. "Lasagne, my favourite!" Ron smiled as he put his napkin on his lap.
Hermione dished out the food as I pile everyone's plates with salad, chips, and garlic bread. There were a few moments of silence while everyone tucked in before Draco spoke up. "Who wants wine?"
"Oh me, please," Hermione smiled. "White, please."
"Same as Addie then," he chuckled as he poured two glasses. "Ron, you a wine man, or do you want something else?"
"No, I don't much like wine." Ron scrunched up his face.
"We have butterbeer, Firewhiskey, water, milk, juice, or beers?" Draco offered.
"A beer could be great!" Ron said as Draco passed him a bottle. "This food is immense, Addie. I forgot how good of a cook you are."
"Thank you." I smiled as I took a sip of wine.
Dinner was a great hit. Everyone chatted happily as we ate. The boys are still discussing the renovations that apparently would be taking place in the conservatory. What beers they could get on tap and what they should stock as Hermione explained what a juke box was and fairy lights.
"I should get one of those music boxes for the pub," Draco chuckled as I brought out dessert.
"I forgot you have a pub." Ron said. "We need to organise a lad's night out there sometime soon."
"You and Harry should join our poker nights. George and Charlie are now regulars, and Taron was at the last one, too. They are great fun. We usually hold it in one of the rooms upstairs."
"I didn't know you had a pub, Draco," Hermione said.
"Yeah, it was the first thing I bought when I graduated from school. I mean, I own the building, but I have a team that runs that actual pub for me. I really don't do too much in terms of running it. Except pay the bills. I have a great team behind me."
"It's a lovely wee place. Great when you want to go for a quiet drink." I said proudly. In all honesty, I had only been out to it three or four times since that first night. But it was charming.
