Draco moving in was the best decision I think I have made in a long time. Just waking up to him, knowing that he didn't have to rush off home to get changed or shower. We were able to have those nights on the couch and romantic meals together. We both cooked and cleaned, and he was finding that not having someone to do everything for you was actually quite liberating. His words, not mine. Home became our own little bubble where we could escape from the world and just enjoy time together.

It was bliss.

Life seemed to move pretty fast, and before we even had time to register what was happening, I was standing in my living room, one evening pacing back and forth in front of the fireplace, panicking.

This evening was the dinner with Vicência Santos, her assistant and their partners, as well as the Minister and Joanna. And I think it's safe to say I was a nervous wreck. I had been cooking all day with Hermione helping as Draco and Ron were sent to the shop about 10 different times for supplies and things I had forgotten. George and Blaise had set the table and organised the drinks for the night.

"Addalie, you are making me nervous," Hermione pleaded. "Sit down."

I was fidgeting with my hands as Draco fixed his cufflinks on his suit. Even Ron was dressed up for the evening. The boys were all dressed in sharp suits. Hermione wore a beautiful nude coloured wrap dress that flowed down in pleats from her waist. I looked down at my own outfit.
A dark green velvet cowl neck dress with a gold star pattern and a mermaid maxi skirt and green heels.

"Maybe I am not dressy enough?" I said, turning to Hermione with one had on my dress and one on my hair, which shoulders.

Draco smiled as he stepped closer to me and clasped both my wrists in his hands, and kissed me, calming me instantly. "You look stunning, baby. Stop stressing. Everything is going to go perfect. We will make sure it does."

"The food smells incredible," Blaise smiled to assure me.

"And the place looks great," George nodded.

Hermione was standing by the armchair Ron was sitting on. "This is an exciting evening, Addalie. Mrs Santos has already read all about the machine, and she is excited to hear more. We got this!"

"Absolutely, we do," Draco said as he put his arm around my waist, pulling me close to him.

"Why did I agree to host?" I wanted to cry. "My home is not fancy enough for someone so important. She is used to royalty. I was worried that Draco wouldn't like my home because he lived in a Manor. This woman likes in a castle! She is going to think I live in a hole!"

"She won't," Blaise laughed. "Your home is gorgeous!" There was a sound from the fireplace as everyone rose to their feet. "We can do this."

"Smile, everyone," Hermione said before turning to the fireplace.

Draco leaned in to whisper in my ear. "She will love you. How could she not? And you look stunning, my love."

The fireplace began to move, shooting upwards, growing in size, and it roared to life, green flames sprouting up and out. Then Kingsley appeared. "Evening all," he smiled and turned to the fireplace as a lady emerged, followed by two men.

I held my breath as Mrs Santos stepped through, looking all around her with a smile on her face. Last to arrive was Joanna, who beamed at me.

"Introductions are in order, I believe," Kingsley smiled. "Folks, this is Miss Caterina Valence and her partner Emilia Russo and Mrs Vicência Santos and her husband Piero Santos. And not forgetting my wife Joanna." He turned to us. "This is Blaise Zabini and his partner George Weasley. Then we have George's brother Ronald Weasley and his partner Hermione Granger. Finally, we have Addalie Dumbledore and her partner Draco Malfoy."
