Two seizures later, and Harry has been rushed to the hospital with a broken Iman trying hard to fake patience and a calm Deja, who knows panicking will do nothing but aggravate the situation. An older nurse is first to attend to them, and she is familiar with him but saves the pleasantries for later on as Harry jerks and struggles to breathe by himself.
Deja takes Iman out of the room and decides to get them both coffee for the night. Iman rejects taking anything because her system is basically an emotional mess, and she decides to sleep off in the waiting room while Niall rushes in with Gemma to see what actually happened. The doctor explains everything to them and it seems calmer than when he was rushed in and Iman continues with her nap in the cramped waiting room.
Thoughts swim through her head as she struggles to sleep, and she finds herself internally crying at how helpless she felt watching Harry have his seizures. If only she was experienced, then they would be no need to rush him to the hospital but the state of confusion and fear aided them in taking him to the hospital. Deja has gone home to freshen up and tell Anne in person, in order not to increase worry or stress.
"Excuse me, where is the bathroom?" Iman croaks, standing at the reception.
"Oh dear, you look so tired. Just go straight down and turn left," an elderly looking nurse smiles, pointing at the direction.
"Thanks," Iman sighs, forcing a smile and walking away.
Thankfully, the bathroom is empty and Iman sighs before leaning on the sink, avoiding the mirror in front of her because of her tired looking face. The faucet is gently turn and Iman smiles a little at the sound of cold water gushing out, and she puts her fingers in it. The bathroom smells less of the harsh hospital antiseptic and medicines, and that is also calming for her.
Iman cups a little amount of water and slowly washes her face with it. The remnant powder washes off along with eye-liner and lipstick, and Iman reaches for a paper towel to dry it off. A small smile creeps up her face, finally staring at her reflection and appreciating how much sleep she managed to sleep on the very uncomfortable chair.
As long as Harry is doing well and getting some sleep now, the discomfort will wear out and she does not mind that. After a few minutes, she takes in a deep breath and smiles before leaving the bathroom, and freezes at the person waiting for her outside with a smile.
"Anne?" Iman frowns a little before clearing her throat.
"Iman dear," Anne smiles, stretching out her hands to usher Iman for an embrace.
"I am so sorry," Iman croaks, embracing Anne and sighing.
Anne rolls her eyes and pats her back. "Hey, you did nothing wrong and this is not the first time it is happening dear,"
"We could have told you he was feeling worse, but he was a bit stubborn," Iman stands properly and looks down.
"Harry is stubborn and does not like me knowing he is sick, and I understand that love," Anne sighs, leading Iman to the chair.
Deja stands up, holding a plastic cup of mint tea and smiling at Iman. It has been a long night, and something refreshing would be needed for her body.
"Thanks for understanding," Iman mumbles.
"About that," Anne collects the tea from Deja. "Can we have some minutes together please?"
