With a quick walk, he steps into the kitchen and immediately glues himself to the side of the refrigerator. A bit of his ice-cream sandwich has smeared the corners of his mouth, and his fingers are tenderly twitching with nerves. He blinks away his curls, pressing his socked left feet on top of his right feet and hoping nobody comes in.

The light sounds of their giggles shoots through his sensitive ears, causing him to part his lips and get enthralled in the sound of her voice. He scratches the side of his ear, wrinkling his nose and fisting on the fabric of his big sister's jumper on his body. He misses her a lot, and wishes she was here to help him around these confusing feelings.

Someone steps into the kitchen, pushing the door open and holding an empty mug of tea. He bites on his lip, tapping his feet against the floor in anxiety and shifting closer to the refrigerator. Harry pauses, frowning in concern and wondering why his son is attempting to maybe morph into the refrigerator or give it a weird hug.

"Ryan?" Harry questions, setting his mug on the counter.

More attempts to somehow disappear continues, and for the first time, Harry finds himself almost laughing at how confused his boy is acting. He takes a step closer to him, waving a hand as a sign of coming in peace, and keeping his eyes on the floor. Both father and son are still working their ways around eye contact with each other.

"Ryan, do...do you need something please?" Harry asks, calmly.

Ryan pauses, moving his dull eyes to his father and shifting it to the counter. He shakes his head in disagreement and bites on his lip.

"What is Ryan doing...doing to the fridge?" Harry asks, a bit perplexed.

With a groan, Ryan pats the refrigerator and still glues himself to it.

"Is something in there?" Harry points at it. "Did Iman...Iman leave a t-treat for you?" Harry asks, clearing his throat.

A bit of an incoherent response sounds from Ryan as he shrugs.

"H-Harry wants to help, please," Harry clarifies.

Ryan wants to sign and ask for his mum, because that's the only person that might be patient enough with him, but he doesn't want to hurt his dad's feelings. He understands Harry is also like him, to a certain limit, and he now understands all Harry wants is for them to peacefully get along together. He attempts to disconnect from the beloved refrigerator, and takes a step away from it.

"Ahhh," Ryan cheers, slowly, as if he just helped fix it back.

"It's always...always been there," Harry shrugs.

"I know," Ryan signs, rolling his eyes.

A smile spreads across Harry's face, realising a conversation about to happen and he mentally prepares himself to help with whatever might be bugging his teenage son. He gestures at the stool, leading both of them to have a seat. Ryan hesitates before immediately sitting down next to his dad, and playing with his fingers to keep himself alert.

"Olivia made...made cookies, so yummy," Harry smiles, glancing at him.

"I prefer Maya's ice-cream sandwiches though," Ryan signs a slow reply.
