"It will be something simple, pleaseee Harry," Iman whined, pouting and squeezing her eyes shut like a desperate kid. "I'd do anything to make your day special, because I love you old man, it will be simple, I promise."

With Louis, Niall, Zayn, and even Nosey Liam (who still annoys Harry with his everyday rambling) deciding to take over birthday plans, Simple is not exactly the word to be used. If only Iman knew better, and If only Gemma was a little too strict on the overgrown children in the form of men.

Adding another year to your life is something almost everyone looks forward to, for different kinds of reasons. Some people anticipate the array of different gifts and goodies set out for them, while some want to relish the joys, love and memories, and a few others want the food that comes with celebration. It is a day that everyone realises how lucky they are, if they are blessed to have the right people around them. It is a day some choose to set aside and look back all the events of the past year, and think of how to grow better. And for some, it is a day to party hard, and forget anything heavy on their minds.

Harry does not understand.

To him, it's just a day. A simple day, with maybe if they are lucky, a little bit of sunshine and a normal weather. Nothing feels extraordinary about this day, maybe except when he turned nineteen and his dad came all the way to take him for a comic convention, and he was very lucky to meet Stan Lee, but then he was too anxious. Stan did understand his condition and kept a simple distance. It is just a normal day, and he does not know why Iman and his mum were super happy when he gave them to green light to throw him a little get together.

Whenever Iman gets excited, she tends to start squeaking and almost running around in circles, it makes him smile a lot and he loves that side of her.

Myra already promised to comb his hair and paint his nails, he is still looking for a way out of that, so maybe Louis will help since he is very good with lies. Everyone has just suddenly become filled with ideas, even Robin suggested a golf themed lunch and Harry almost dug an invisible to hide himself from all of them. His dad called and asked if he should be a part, and he knew the simple birthday, will not be that simple.

On the morning of his birthday, he woke up and did his usual routine. He did not stay in his flat because everyone would be at the family house and moving around just annoys him. He wanted to walk straight to Myra's room and check on her, but the girl, his mother and Robin already made their way to sing Happy Birthday to him. It was awkward because his facial expression was blank from the beginning to the end of the song, then Myra lightened the mood by peppering his flushed face with warm kisses. Harry was all smiles and stayed in bed, just as Anne instructed, following instructions from Iman and Gemma.

"Happy Birthday to the best daddy ever! I love you more than pancakes!" Myra squealed in excitement, bouncing on his bed and finally snuggling up with him till he naps away.

Two hours later, and he wakes up again from a short nap, really needing to move around the house. He gently sits up on his bed and looks out the window, the thick grey skies are gathering and producing little rumbling noises, the roads have been heavily kissed by the rain and little droplets of water are slapping the window. Harry fists a bit on his blanket and smiles at the gloomy scenery, which is his favourite. Everywhere looks quiet and it feels extremely peaceful. He can hear himself think appropriately and his mind is not anxious. He slowly presses his forehead to the cold glass, humming and slowly getting carried by the moment.
