Happy Birthday Iman.
The house is busy, not noisy but busy with little activities here and there. A few deflated balloons of different colours on the side and some ribbons on the other side. Harry scans through the wooden floors, carefully picking discarded items one after the other and making sure nobody is creating a mess in his home. Liam is icing up the cake and Niall is helping arrange a few presents into the massive gift bag.
"Here we go!" Louis pipes up, wearing the party hat on Aidan's head.
"Yay!" Aidan claps to himself, biting down his lip.
"It's not your birthday but hey, you still look pretty with this," Louis chuckles, adjusting the pink glitter stained hat.
"Is...Is...Is knowing that!" Aidan frowns a little.
"Hey, stay calm and don't fight me." Louis smiles at him, shaking his head.
Aidan stays quiet, sitting on the wooden floor and folding in his legs. He is not interested in helping at the moment, and Louis wants him comfortable while they finish up with little arrangements. Iman's birthday is something very special because she is simply a special person. Right now she is out with Aneesa to have some afternoon tea and lunch with Gemma, Oliver and Anne.
"I'm colouring for Mum!" Myra squeaks, placing her colouring stationaries down and rubbing her palms.
A small frown forms on Aidan's face, trying not to look at the little girl next to him and wondering if he can handle any form of social interaction with her. He blinks to himself, patting down his hat and humming a little to himself. Harry helps Myra by placing her small box of colouring pencils next to her and kissing her forehead with a smile. This is Aidan's maybe fourth time to being this close to Myra, and he is not sure how to act.
"Thanks papa!" Myra smiles at him.
"No...no worries love," Harry clears his throat.
"Oh," Aidan says to himself, feeling uncomfortable.
"Hello!" Myra pipes up, waving in front of Aidan's face.
"No....no...no," Aidan mumbles, slowly shifting away.
Myra instantly frowns, tugging at her father's arm and wondering what she has done wrong. Louis looks their way, smiling a little and walking towards them. It fascinates him how quick he was able to bond with Aidan and somehow understand his unique mannerisms. Now, he is able to keep a conversation with him and assist in awkward situations.
"Myra! Hey best friend!" Louis scoops her up, kissing her tummy and making loud noises.
"Hi Uncle Louis!" Myra laughs out, wiggling and struggling to avoid his tickles.
"You are growing bigger each day, so proud of you," he smiles at her, taking note of the strong resemblance shared with Linda.
"Thank you!" she smiles, kissing his nose.
"How is that little nutcase called your sister?" Louis laughs a little.
"Out with mum, aunty gem and nana," Myra smiles.
"Uh....H-Harry needs to help...help Niall," Harry points at the kitchen, looking away.
"No problem dude," Louis replies.
Harry walks away from them and Myra holds Louis close, staring at Aidan. Something familiar is always shared between this strange man and her father, she can tell quite alright but it confuses her young mind even more. Aidan picks up a party sticker and immediately presses it to his cheek with a weak giggle, making Myra also giggle along with him. Louis places her down and urges her to make a conversation with Aidan.
