chapter six: “change of identity.

why not have me as your wife, Your Majesty? OH, SORRY!

     “GOOD MORNING, DEAR TRAVELER.

(NAME)'S VOICE awoke Lumine in a jolt, making her jump from the bed she once rested on and took out her blade. The Queen stopped the sharp end with her finger, avoiding being bruised. Her appearance changed into something more humanely—her black horns were just two small spikes poking above her (h/c) hair, the lime slitted-eyes were now a simple pair of (e/c) crevices, and her tall physique somehow lessened around 20-30 cm (178-188)...

"My Queen—wait, I thought you removed my memories?" Lumine questioned, raising her eyebrow. (Name) bluntly stared back at her, "What did you do to me?"

"Watched you sleep, dear. Nothing else other than that," (Name) replied. The blonde shrieked in fear, "It's the truth. Was I making you uncomfortable?"

"Yes. IT'S WEIRD WATCHING PEOPLE SLEEP!" Lumine told the Queen, who chuckled in amusement. "Why are you laughing? You shouldn't watch people sleep, you know! I'm not a movie or anything to make you entertained... Did you even sleep?"

"Even though I made you uncomfortable, you still asked if I slept..." (Name) wiped a tear, delighted by her guest's reaction. "I only sleep if I need to... It depends on my mood, but then again, even though I'm an Archon I still need to rest my body to restore my powers. A mere break of my sleeping schedule won't hurt."

Lumine wasn't listening because she approached (Name), amazed by the change in her identity. The Queen didn't stop the Traveler from grabbing her face, softly pinching her cheeks as she do so and caressed them with her thumbs...

"We can stay like this forever, Traveler." (Name) suggested when she felt Lumine poking her two little, black horns.

The girl blushed, voluntarily removing her hands, "Sorry, sorry. I apologize for my actions, Your Majesty," she bowed. "Um, are you going somewhere?" She questioned, staring at the formal suit the woman was wearing.

"I want to be a traveler like you, so I can overcome my isolation. I heard from Lilia this is necessary if you're being interviewed by the adventurer's guild, so I decided to wear formal attire." She replied, fixing her tie in the process. "I forbid you from calling me Your Majesty outside these lands, dear Traveler. However, I want you to create a nickname for me."

"Is that disrespectful, Your Majesty?" The blonde asked, scratching her cheek in embarrassment.

"It's disrespectful towards me if you didn't ask for my permission, so I allow you to create a nickname to address me. I dislike being called Your Majesty in the outside world, so it's safe to call me with any desired nicknames you have..." (Name) stated, raising a finger.

Lilia and Paimon watched Lumine and (Name) converse, making a fist bump because they'd been planning to make them get together instead. The Queen didn't mind when the Traveler poked her horns because she sees it as an adorable landmark of the Archon's human form...

Lumine snapped her fingers, "I think I know what to call you! Tsunotaro!" She exclaimed, proud of what she addressed (Name). "I miss your large black horns, but these two small ones are cute... I took inspiration from it to create a nickname for you."

"Is that so?" (Name) asked, raising an eyebrow to tease the Traveler. "Tsunotaro... What an adorable nickname, Traveler. I adore it," she remarked.

"Really?" She asked again, her eyes gleaming. She earned a nod, but she hold herself back from squealing in happiness, "I'm glad to hear that... Tsunotaro. Thank you for allowing me to call you by any nicknames, Your Majesty!"

"Your welcome, dear," the Queen bowed her head a bit. "Now, tell me, how do you become a Traveler? I would like to know it."

     "Oh, about that..."

(Name) was inside her room, enjoying her last moments in her palace before she leave with Lumine and Paimon. The Traveler told her about being able to wield a weapon, which she told her she can use different kinds of it. She should be aware of knowing what to cook in desperate times. One thing bothered her, she should possess a vision to avoid suspicion from others...

"... I think I have no options left..." She sighed before approaching her drawer and pulling out the last box. "It's been a while."

There, a shining electro vision gleamed beneath her. It was a gift from Ei during her stay in Inazuma. Bestowed with her powers, she created a handmade vision for (Name). It seems like their ring wasn't the only thing left from their marriage—Ei's last fragment remains for her, unlike her former husbands, who stayed loyal but turned back due to the loss of her twin sister...

"Goodness, (Name). Don't linger from the past for it's no longer your concern," she scolded herself before placing the vision on her belt.

"My Queen, here's your wished amount of mora..." A servant entered her room, kneeling before her while holding a silver plate offered with mora bags. Once she took it, the servant bowed, "I'll be taking my leave..."

"WAKAI-SAMA!" Sebek entered her room, hugging her. "IS IT TRUE YOU'RE LEAVING US?! HOW COULD YOU LEAVE YOUR FAITHFUL SERVANT?!"

"Sebek love, calm down... I desire to indulge myself in something fruitful once in a while," (Name) chuckled nervously while she caressed the overreacting child. "Don't worry, I'll visit once during my breaks as a traveler. I'll come back with gifts from foreign regions if you want to."

"Sorry, My Queen. Sebek is too worried about you," Silver bowed behind the door. "Sebek, she's free to do anything than rule our land... She stayed here for five hundred years after all and she certainly deserves a rest from her hard work as the Queen."

Sebek and Silver started to bicker, making (Name) panic from their reaction. Unlike them, the silver-haired child is a pure-blood human and no signs of fae written on him. He was found by Lilia Vanrouge years ago, taking him to the Land of Thorns. Sebek is half-human, half-fae because his mother married a human dentist from the outside world...

"Children, don't fight in front of Her Majesty..." (Name) uttered, holding them away from each other. "Lilia will take over the kingdom in the meantime. You don't need to worry about me away from the land. Behave for him, alright? I'll be truly disappointed if you caused problems for him."

     "YES, WAKAI-SAMA!"

     "Understood, My Queen."

     "Very good."
