chapter seven: “ms dragon.”

     “UH, TRAVELER... WHY IS SHE TALL?”

THE GUILD LEADER, CYRUS, asked the famed Traveler, looking at the tall woman beside her. Despite her heels, there's no doubt she was that tall. Her black suit added her mysterious aura, making the buff male shiver from what identity she goes. It's like there were a golden retriever and a black cat in front of him...

     "Good morning, Sir Cyrus. I have come to be an adventurer," the woman bowed. Her hands were intertwined together, "I go by the name Tsunotaro or (n/n). However, feel free to call me anything you desire." (n/n stands for the nickname)

     "Alright, nice to meet you... Um, Ms. (n/n)," he offered his hand. "I believe the Traveler has told you about me being the guild leader here in Mondstat. And the one approving travelers to this guild."

     "Yes, she did tell me."

     "As you can see, we have three steps to pass the examination. One is to know what kind of foods are necessary while traveling. Two is to know the history behind the adventurer's guild," Cyrus said. "Lastly, three. Being able to defend yourself from enemies."

     "I understand, thank you for telling me this," (Name) uttered. "Where do we start?"

     "Before we could start, are you alright using heels while traveling? It might hurt," the guild leader remarked while looking at her legs. "Do you have a vision? A weapon to defend yourself? We don't encourage people to go on adventures without bringing something to defend themselves—"

A blast of lightning interrupted his speech, almost charring him. (Name) chuckled from his reaction, hiding behind the light pole away from the Traveler and her. Her vision grew dull once the lightning disappeared, leaving a black spot on the ground...

     "I expect that'll be my answer, yes?" She asked.

     "Yes! Absolutely!" He squeaked, still holding the pole for dear life. "I'm terrified..." He whispered.

     "You need to kill a ruin guard in a minute," Cyrus told (Name). "Can you do that, Ms. (n/n)?"

     "Of course."

Lumine and Paimon stared at (Name) unsheathing her sword before proceeding to the said ruin guard. Cyrus crossed his arms, observing the strange individual that the Traveler met. Then they gasped, three ruined guards woke up from the presence of the Queen. However, she seems unfazed by it...

     "Can you kill that, Your—I mean, Tsunotaro?!" Paimon exclaimed. "WAH! THEY'RE GONNA THROW MISSILES! RUN, TSUNOTARO!"

     "Only cowards run away from their enemy, dear Paimon," (Name) uttered as her sword was fused with green flames and electric bolts. "Just cut their head off..." She whispered.

Obice.

OBICE is one of her defensive power, creating an invisible barrier in front of her to deflect the attacks. As the ruined guard was about to turn, they saw (Name) in front of them with a menacing smile before slicing their head off. Cyrus and Paimon squealed in fear while Lumine has a triumphant smirk on her face...

     "Is that enough demonstration I'm capable of taking care of myself, Sir Cyrus?" (Name) questioned, appearing behind the sulking buff male. "Was it too much for you?"

     "Not at all!" He stammered, laughing wryly at her mysterious vibe. "You're qualified as a member of the adventurer's guild! I'll just add you to a team if you want, too! Or, uh... IT'S FINE IF YOU WANT TO BE A LONE ADVENTURER!" He yelled, feeling her hand wrapping around his shoulder blades.

     "You're shaking rapidly, Sir Cyrus... Calm down," she remarked. A blunt look was written on her face, "I don't pose any harm towards you, so don't be afraid. It's unsettling to see..." She assured.

     "Is she starting as an adventurer, Cyrus?" Lumine asked, clinging around (Name)'s arm. She received a nod, making her huff, "Good! Let's go to Katheryne, Tsunotaro!" She exclaimed, pulling the Queen out of the area.

     "WAIT FOR ME!" Paimon squeaked, flying towards the two females.

Somehow, the blonde traveler saw her (e/c) eyes turn into lime for a moment before disappearing. The (h/c) haired woman looked at her fellow female, placing a finger above her lips. She must've used the memory erasure on the guild leader, who's now following them like a timid child...

     "So since Ms. (n/n) is a traveler now, some citizens shall post commissions and pay when you finished their tasks. Katheryne is responsible for giving the commissions to travelers, so feel free to ask her what commission is needed to be done," Cyrus told them. Paimon was gonna say something, but Lumine glared at her. "Alright! That's all, so I'll be going now. Congratulations, Ms. (n/n)!"

     "Thank you, Sir Cyrus."

     "Hello, Katheryne. WE GOT A NEW RECRUIT!" Paimon exclaimed. "Meet Tsunotaro. You can call her Ms. (n/n) or any nicknames you have for her. As long as you have her permission!"

Katheryne raised an eyebrow because half of (Name)'s face was hidden from her view (she was reaching the hood of the counter). The commissioner placed her head outside the counter, seeing the face of the Queen herself...

     "Can you please remove your heels?" She favored, making (Name) remove it for her. "Thank you."

     (Name) coughed, "So... About being a traveler, what rules am I abide to follow?" She asked. "And requirements to not be removed from the adventurer's guild?"

     "You're required to do four commissions a day or you'll be eradicated from the adventurer's guild. You can change your commissions if you're not able to do the said commission," Katheryne told (Name). "Do you have any questions left?"

     "Where do I start my commission? Also are there other preferences?"

     Katheryne nodded, "Indeed. However, to be an international adventurer needs serious experiences and extraordinary ratings from our clients. You'll be assigned in Mondstat for now and you're gonna start tomorrow, Ms. (n/n)..." She replied. "Now, what name do you want to go by if someone wants to commission you?"

     "Ms. Dragon."
