chapter ten: “my wife.”
—
“GOOD MORNING, DEAR KAEYA.”
(NAME) GREETED the awoken Kaeya, who was sleeping on her lap. The blue-haired male stood up, hitting her chin. She seemed unfazed by it, but he groaned in pain while holding the red lump appearing above his head. The (h/c)-haired woman chuckled in amusement, entertained by his silly actions...
"Are you alright?" She asked, holding both sides of his head. "Ohh... Sorry, my dear," she apologized when she saw the red lump.
"Yes... Yes, I'm fine," he assured with a wry smile while rubbing the lump. "Where are we?" He asked, taking a look around his surrounding.
"First-class hotel room of the Grand Goth Hotel," she replied with a smile.
He gawked at the female's capability. Who's she either way? In all of his years living in Mondstat, he never noticed this woman at all. He hasn't met any (Name) all of his life, but she was being too nice towards him. Her vision, on the other hand, was an Inazuman one so might as well theorize she's a foreigner...
"Good morning, Rosaria and Venti," she greeted the newly awoken duo sleeping on her bed. "Did you two sleep well? No bad dreams of some sort?" She asked.
"Did we get too drunk last night?" Venti questioned, rubbing his eyes. "Man, I'm already beat from my second bottle last night... I don't know what happened next," he said.
(Name) chuckled, "Well, you passed out after that and leave me with Rosaria and Kaeya. I believe they still insist on helping me drink the remaining bottles of wine despite almost passing out from the impact of it," she told them and received a blush from the said duo. "I remembered saying that... (FLASHBACK) Okay, you two, please sleep now. Too much wine will be bad for your health," she told the drunk duo.
"We're fine!" Rosaria hiccuped, pouring another shot of dandelion wine."We're not that drunk, Miss... Uh... Tania? Tiana? Or something like that," she laughed groggily.
"Not even close," the female dragon sighed. "Come on now, we'll escort you home. Don't be stubborn," she said and started to tell Charles, the bartender, to put the remaining bottles as take-out.
"I don't want to go home! I want to drink more!" Kaeya threw a tantrum, struggling with (Name)'s raw strength. "I want dandelion wine, please! Please! Please!" He begged, on the verge of crying.
Charles was stifling his laugh and (Name) sighing before putting him over her shoulder, "Don't struggle or you'll fall, my dear. Let's go now, Rosaria," she called while handing out her hand.
The plum-like-headed woman was knocked out as well, leaving the (h/c)-haired to carry the three of the drunkards out of the tavern. With Venti and Rosaria under her armpits, she went to her hotel room. In instinct, the bard and nun went to the bed...
"Hm, Kaeya, sleep on the bed. We don't want you catching a cold while sleeping on the floor," she told him as she poked his back. He was already lying on the floor, "Kaeya, we don't want you to be ill." She added.
"I'll sleep here..." Kaeya murmured, not wanting to sleep on her bed. Without any choice, she carried him again and earned a couple of complaints, "Let me go! Let me go! I want to sleep!"
"Yes, dear. Sleep on the bed," she sighed before putting him on the bed beside Rosaria and Venti. Placing a kiss on his forehead, she said, "Goodnight. Sweet dreams, my dear."
She sat on the chair beside the bed, pulling a novel from the table. The window nearby was her light source, leaving her occupied at the moment. Unbeknownst to her, Kaeya started crawling toward her and she only noticed him when his blue hair glistened under the moonlight...
"What is it—OH!" She gasped when he settled himself on her lap, using his arms as his additional pillow. Once she heard her light snores, she chuckled heartily and brushed his hair, "... Your mother is lucky to have you... I wonder if I was your mom, don't you think, my dear?" She jested, feeling devastated she wasn't the mother of this child. (END)
Rosaria and Kaeya blushed from the memory, embarrassed, "... Um... Did he sleep on your lap last night?" Venti questioned, curious.
(Name) nodded, "Indeed, he did. He's quite adorable while sleeping," she chuckled at the memory of his cute face. "I can say he's a heavy sleeper—"
"NO NEED TO YELL IT, MS. (N/N)!" Kaeya exclaimed, covering her mouth.
The Anemo Archon stared at the conversing Captain and Queen, seemingly finding similarities between them—they both have some high resistance to alcohol, avoiding them being drunk. Their soft personality is even similar, scaring him because they might be related to each other...
"Do you two want breakfast?"

Pierro, the former king of Khaenri'ah and first among the 11 Harbingers, was currently quiet in his office. In memory of his dead wife, he named his son after her desired wish. He still loves (Name), but doesn't know of her current status (blame the grandmother:>)...
"You've been looking at that necklace, Jester..." The Doctor, Dottore, remarked as he leaned against the door frame of Pierro's office. "Who's that woman anyway? I've been seeing you having that picture for years already."
"It doesn't concern you," the Jester harshly told him. Written in Khaenri'ah language, it read, "(Name) Draconia. My wife..."
The picture may be old and the frame rusting, but the face of his youth and his beautiful wife was still clear as day. She was sitting on a purple chair, wearing a royal blue gown with a gentle smile plastered on her breathtaking facade. The Queen's crown was placed adorned her horned head...
"I would be willing to take her away from you," the Doctor teased while peeking behind Jester's shoulder. "She's pretty if I say so myself. Is she your sister? Or something?"
Pierro glared at Dottore, "Don't even think about it. Leave her alone," he hissed before hiding the picture in his drawer.
"How mean."
