chapter eleven: a broken contract.

     “GREETINGS, LILIA.

A FAMILIAR MALE entered the Palace of Thorns, surprising everyone within. His features were still the same as he last visited the Thorn Archon's hometown. His long, brown hair tied into a low ponytail paired with his intimidating amber eyes. His attire changed—not the open-chest robe, but a formal attire covering his Archon tattoos...

"Morax, what are you doing in the sacred grounds of the Thorn Archon?" Lilia asked, pointing his sword at the Geo Archon. "Weren't you vanished by the Flame Archon years ago? She forbids you from going near her granddaughter again."

"Lilia, we both know (Name) and I am bound by a contract. Are you forgetting it?" He asked, earning a disbelief look from the caretaker. "I'm here to take back what's mine in the first place, so where's (Name)?"

"I can't tell you," the short male stubbornly remarked. "Do be wise before entering this sacred ground—"

"It's as if you view me as dirt," the Geo Archon scoff in disappointment. "Remember who I am, Lilia. You may be the general and caretaker of the Princess of Thorns, but you're no match to the former God of War. Watch your mouth."

Lilia chuckled, "(Name) sees you as dirt though. An annoying tune in her memories, so I'm here to deliver her wishes if you manage to find her again... Either way, she's no Princess anymore. Give respect to the Queen of Thorns," he glared at the Archon. "Don't be surprised if she isn't pleased to see you."

Morax gave the caretaker a nasty look, "Have you forgotten? I never betrayed (Name)," he remarked. "I swore in our contract if I did, then the heavens can eradicate me. My love for her is true and sincere—"

"In your eyes, you may not see the way you betrayed her," the caretaker remarked. "In other words, in her eyes, you did. Then again, you're the maker of the contract you're talking about—the contract poses no concern to Her Majesty. You don't pose as her lover anymore either, so leave this palace at once," he explained.

"I'll be taking she's not here then?" The Geo Archon raised an eyebrow, taking a look around. "I felt the surge of the barrier protecting this land disappears... I'm guessing that was (Name)'s protecting power, right? To think my lover has that kind of power... I'm amazed," he chuckled madly.

He might be acting tough on the outside, but on the inside,e he's panicking about what way did he betray his forgotten lover. Years, he tried entering these lands but some kind of protection was forbidding him from entering...
