“reincarnation — first ending.”

(n/a: giving y'all the ending for Guizhong before it disappears in my head.)

(p/d) is preferred drink because everyone has different tastes and you're using your real attributes here in this version.

MODERN ERA

“(NAME), WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME WITHOUT MY GOODBYE KISS?”

THE REINCARNATED VERSION of Guizhong questioned through the phone, an irritated tone written in her voice. (Name) was currently inside her company car, since she's an incoming meeting concerning her and she might've forgotten to give her girlfriend a goodbye kiss...

(Name) chuckled, "I'm sorry, dear. I'll bring you gifts once I get back home," she apologized but heard a scoff from the other line. Scratching her cheek, she sighed, "What do you desire if—"

"I want you back home right now," she ordered. "That'll make up for the forgotten kiss and maybe I'll forgive you."

"You know I can't do that. I'm sorry, Guizhong dear," she apologized once more. "You know I couldn't adjust this meeting now that I'm on the way. I have notified my assistant I'll be in the building for approximately around thirty minutes. I couldn't just turn back the car just to get home again."

Guizhong's eye twitched, "... Okay fine. If you won't come to me, I'll go instead!" She said before hanging up the phone.

(Name) just looked at the caller's number, reminiscing how she met Guizhong. She met around the time the gray-haired woman was a new employee at a cafe shop and she was fresh from college, immediately inheriting the position of her family's company...

HOW THEY MET!

The Café Guizhong was accepted was nearby the company where (Name) was working, so it explains why the latter is going to that café. It was midnight, but thankfully the shop is open 24/7, perfect for those workers who often have the nightshift jobs nearby. The shop was empty as the new CEO entered, the ding of the bell caught the worker's attention...

"Good evening, Miss!" Guizhong greeted, going towards the counter. Then she fell silent when she saw (Name)'s features, awe-struck by it, "I... Um... Haha... Erm..." She stammered, still looking at the new CEO but her hands are unconsciously grabbing nearby things on the counter.

"Are you alright?" (Name) questioned, immediately grabbing the other's wrists before she could hurt herself. If she could describe Guizhong's face right now, she like she's a tomato because of the fuming cheeks, "Now that I've taken a close look at you... You seem to be a new employee, aren't you?"

The reincarnation of the Dust Archon managed to compose herself, tucking a hair behind her ear. "Yes, I am. I'm surprised you managed to tell," she replied and earned a smile from (Name). "Are you perhaps a usual customer here?"

The (h/c)-haired woman nodded, "Indeed. I often find myself buying (p/d) here, I like the way the employees blend it. Also, I think it's the fifth time the owner of this establishment fired their employee," she remarked and Guizhong immediately flinched from the news. "I think you're the sixth one I met this week... I'm surprised he still has a couple of people willing to enter as his worker."

Guizhong chuckled nervously, "That means if I messed up I might get fired immediately?"

(Name) nodded, "Most likely. I theorized he has a short amount of patience, so watch out, hm?" She warned, patting the head of Guizhong (she's still taller than her).

It felt strange for the both of them, unaware of their past lives. Both of them are familiar with each other, but couldn't pinpoint how. Brushing off those thoughts, Guizhong decided to prepare the drink while (Name) sat at a nearby table waiting for her order...

"Here's your order... I never got your name," the gray-haired woman said while scratching the back of her head. "Maybe I was too caught up in our conversation that I forgot to ask for your name."

(Name) slipped a business card to her, "Call me (Name) and thank you for this drink. I'll be going now, Ms. Guizhong."

Yes, she did get fired the next day and called (Name). Offering the best employee job in the company, assistant to the CEO, they became rather close than friends. Now that they're together, the CEO fired her assistant and let her live with her instead without any worries...

"Good morning, Ms. Draconia. Your girlfriend—"

"I'm in a rush, I'll talk to you later." (Name) turned the assistant down as she rushed into the elevator. Once she arrived in the meeting room, she saw a brunette male waiting outside, "Excuse me. How can I help you, sir?" She questioned and approached him.

He was attractive, to say the least, "Ah... You must be Ms. Draconia, the CEO of this company, isn't that right?" She nodded in response and he offered his hand to shake. "I'm Mr. Zhongli, President of the Morax Corporation in China. A pleasure to be acquainted with you."

The woman nodded, "Oh? I thought Mr. Xiao was the owner."

"Oh, he's the COO of the company," Zhongli said with a chuckle. "I was busy around that time, so I couldn't contact you directly. I'm glad we've met in this meeting though. (Cue for him almost kissing her hand) May I?"

(Name) was gonna decline until someone beat her into it. Her bag smacked against Zhongli's face, "No flirting with my wife, Mister!" It was Guizhong and she seems mad, clinging to her girlfriend's arm. The (h/c)-haired woman was gonna correct her until she pulled a ring, "Yes! I and Ms. (Name) Draconia are gonna get married! That makes me the future Guizhong Draconia, so watch your mouth!"

Zhongli held his nose, blood seeping out from the impact of Guizhong's smack. (Name) just smiled apologetically as her wife is now inserting the rings on their fingers, showing they were married. She didn't expect it, but it felt right and something burdening was released from her chest...

"(Name), (Name)! Tell him we're engaged!"

"I—calm down, Guizhong... But yes, we're engaged."
