The boys had kept me updated and told me what had actually happened through the mind-link. After Liam dropped me off, I waited a few minutes and began running to where the boys were. Fortunately for me, it was a few minutes away from the apartment.
'I'll get you guys out, just hold on for a bit longer.' I say through the link before cutting it off.
I walk up to the front desk and see a man in front of some screens.
"Hello there." I smile, hoping he's in a good mood.
He looks at me and his eyes widen slightly. "Oh, hello there miss. How may I help you?"
"My friends were brought in here. There has been an entire misunderstanding and I was hoping it has been cleared already?"
"Of course, what are their names?" He says while looking back down at the screen.
"Colby Valentine, Nathaniel Blackwell, and Ashton Powers."
He stares at the screen for a while longer and finally nods. "They are being held right now."
"Well, has anyone spoken to them?" I ask.
"It doesn't seem so."
"Well may I tell someone what happened? I was a witness."
He reluctantly nods and takes me to an officer. I pretty much told them everything with a few white lies. I mentioned how I made them follow me because I went on a date with a stranger and how I also noticed the candle set the curtain on fire.
The reason they had candles was because they had rushed inside to try and find me but realized I had been outside. They didn't know the candles started the fire but figured it out on their own which made them pick up a candle and come out of the building.
They didn't question much of it. Apparently, Colby had given them a receipt and they had found the merchandise that matches, giving them an alibi. Apparently, I'm trustworthy enough that they took my word that I saw the candles. Terrible human world warriors, or police, if you ask me but it works in our favor.
The boys come out of a room rubbing their wrists.
"Red." Colby breathes out with a smile and wraps his arms around me.
"Hi."
I give a hug to Ash and Blackwell. Blackwell held on longer, but I didn't mind.
"Let's go back to the apartment."
We begin our journey back. By now it's completely dark outside.
"I can't wait to go to sleep." I yawn.
"Today was adventurous." Responds Colby.
"If you guys wanted to follow, I wouldn't have opposed it. Why didn't you just tell me?"
"It was a last-minute thing after Nate was getting jeal-"
