Blackwell left for work a few hours ago. Ash has not been able to sit still all morning thinking about his mate. He asked for her name and practically melted when I said Kristen.

I've seen the bond work before. The bond pulls in the two people together and makes them practically fall in love at first sight.

Ash is practically bouncing off the walls in joy. Most of his friends have found their mate the moment they turned 16, he's still young but he's been waiting.

I'm currently on the couch sitting next to Ash with the TV on, after I made him sit down with me to try to calm him down. Colby is in the kitchen making a list of things we need to restock on.

"I've seen this one a lot," Ash says while the TV shows the Lightning Casino. "Looks interesting."

Colby walks in with a small piece of paper in hand. "That's a new casino that just opened up. It's not that far from here."

"We should go. What is it?" I ask.

Colby looks at the tv. "It's a place where people play with money."

"Sounds like a blast." Ash beams.

"We'll go with Nathan someday if we're still stuck here." Colby says while putting on his shoes. "I'm going out to get some groceries. Anything either of you two need or want?"

"Pistachios!" I grin. Ash looks over at me.

"What's that?" He asks.

"I'll show you when he brings them." I nod. Colby grabs his beige trench coat, puts it on and shakes his hair.

"Alright kids, I'll be back in a little bit. Behave and don't set the building on fire."

"Yes, sir." Smiles Ash.

Colby walks out and we stay in silence, watching people panic and try to bake faster. The contestants all have a different object in front of them. Being a shoe, a purse, and a book. Now they have to replicate it as best to their abilities, only for the man in the end to completely destroy it by driving a knife through it.

Ash turns to me. "How's it going with Nate?" He asks.

'Perfectly perfect.' Celeste purrs.

"Really good." I murmur facing away from him.

"You like him," Ash states. "You're always clinging onto him every chance you get."

"He's nice." I shrug.

"But you don't see me clinging onto him."

"Well, you have a mate."

"And he's practically yours too. Ask him out or something."

'Yes!'

"Maybe." I say and Celeste falls dramatically in defeat. "Are you going to ask out Kristen?"
