2nd POV

The door behind you opened. You looked over your shoulder, spotting Venti.
"Ah, sorry for leaving all of a sudden. I don't really like crowded and stuffy places like this one. They make me feel overwhelmed after a while. Sorry about that." You explained with an awkward smile.
"Why didn't you say so from the start? We could have met somewhere else." Venti pouted, crossing his arms.
"You didn't really give me a chance to say that, back then." You sighed, remembering the bard's sudden disappearance after your first encounter.
"Oops. Ehe~" He scratched the back of his head, grinning sheepishly, "Then let's go somewhere else then."
"Wha-?"

Not being able to decline in time, Venti had grabbed your wrist and pulled you along with him.
"Where are you going?" You asked, letting yourself being dragged along.
"We are going to the Starsnatch Cliff." He replied with a bright smile.
"But that's outside the town, and I don't have a weapon to defend myself." You protested, thinking about the monsters outside the city.
"Trust me. I'll protect you."
"Yeah sure. I will surely trust you after your dirty trick back in the tavern." You muttered sarcastically.
"Why are you so mad about it? I just wanted to know the truth. You wouldn't have told me otherwise."
"Sorry, for not coming up to you like, 'Hey, I'm (Y/N). I might be from another world, but I still know everyone and everything from this one; because it's from a picture book.'"
You could see Venti holding back his laugh.

"Anyway, what made you think that I know you?" You asked, rather curious.
"Oh, I heard you cursing in front of the cathedral today." He explained with a grin.
"HUH?!" You looked at him, shocked.
"Ehe~" Venti just grinned at your reaction.
"Sorry..." You whispered, barely audible.
"Don't worry, I won't hold it against you." The bard said with a calm voice, "But yes, that's the reason for my doubt back then. So, you can see my 'dirty trick' as some kind of payback for your hurtful words." He smirked.
Smiling slightly, you, once again, accepted defeat.

After a long walk, you two finally reached the Starsnatch Cliff. You sat down on the soft grass, your legs tired. The breeze up there was gentle and cool. It felt different from the one back in the town. It tasted fresh and salty.
Your eyes wandered towards the endlessly stretching ocean. The sound of its waves clashing against the stone wall beneath, was relaxing.

You closed your eyes as your fingertips brushed over the soft grass. Again, you could feel an energy flowing through your body, but it felt different from before. You could sense the Dendro energy endlessly emitting from the ground.
Opening your eyes, you looked around. To your surprise, you couldn't spot a single Cecilia on the hill. If your memories were correct, then there should have been a few growing here.

You heard something rustling, realizing that Venti must have sat down beside you. Turning your head, you looked at him.
"So, you are telling me that this world is from a picture book?" He asked, seemingly troubled by your earlier confession.
"Well, it is. If you believe me or not is up to you."
"It's hard to believe. But I trust your words. I doubt that there would be a reason for you to tell me such an absurd lie. And if you did, then you should consider becoming a story telling for coming up with something like this." The bard grinned at you, earning a soft smile from you in return.
Your eyes trailed up to the dark sky, filled with of bright shining stars.
"The stars are a hoax."
To you, they are fake now, too. But the reason behind it was obviously different.

"If this world is from a book, then who is the hero?" Venti suddenly asked, startling you.
"Well, I can't spoil too much since it would ruin in the story line. But, the protagonist is a traveler who has yet to arrive." You explained, scratching your cheek.
"What if it's about you now? What if you slipped into the role of the traveler after arriving here?" He asked, with an amused grin, leaning over, so he could see your face.
"If I was the hero now, then this book would end up as dust collector. Who would want to read a story about a traveler without goals and ambitions?" You joked, your eyes not leaving the starry sky.
In the corner of your eyes, you could see his earlier amused smile turning into a bitter one.

"Hey." You spoke up, turning to him, "Promise me that you won't tell anyone about our conversation today."
"Hey now. There is no way I would have told anyone about it to begin with." He laughed, seemingly surprised by your words.
You gave him a thankful smile, as your hand trailed over the grass stalks.
"I wonder if I can control the energy, my body keeps absorbing."
You tried to follow the elemental energy that flowed through your body. Giving your best effort, you tried collecting it in your palm. Closing your eyes, you imagined a Cecilia growing, as you released the Dendro energy into the ground.

Slowly opening your eyes, you were surprised to find out that your plan had indeed worked, just a little different than you had intended. Instead of one flower, you were now sitting in a whole field of this Cecilias.
Venti was back on his feet, his eyes sparkling in awe, as he stared at the beautiful filed of flowers, you had created.
"Sheesh, I wasn't expecting that." You sighed, letting yourself fall on the soft ground, feeling rather drained, "I just wanted to grow a single one, as a thanks, but ended up creating a whole patch."
The bard bent over to you, looking down at your lying form. His two braids were swaying in the soft breeze.
"Thank you." He said with a heartwarming smile.
You looked away, embarrassed as your heartbeat suddenly skipped.
"You're welcome." You muttered shyly, hoping that you weren't blushing.

A small laugh could be heard from the young man. You sat back up and watched Venti walking closer to the edge of the cliff. Summoning his lyre, he turned back to you with a soft smile.
"Let me give you a private concert in return." He laughed, closing his eyes.
His fingers brushed across the instrument's strings, creating a soft tune.
A gust of wind traveled through the field, causing some petals being carried away.
You closely listened to the soft melodies that seemed to be carried by the breeze.

The view was indeed something you could have only imagined from a picture book.
Venti standing in a field of Cecilias. Surrounded by the flowers' petals as his hair and clothes swayed with the gentle breeze. A calm smile on his face as he played his lyre.

A scene you were going to keep in your mind forever.
