2nd POV
Being able to spend time with others sure is nice, but being by yourself once in a while is like a breath of fresh air.
"Hah~" You let out a relaxed sigh as you flopped onto the soft bed in your room.
Well, technically speaking, this wasn't your room. After all, you were only using it because you were brought here. Though, after spending weeks in this town, you didn't hesitate to call this room your own.
Your eyes traveled towards the window. "There won't be a comfy bed waiting for me out in the wilderness."You sat up and stretched your arms, cracking your joints.
Diluc said that he would notify you once he got all the information needed, so, until then, you could enjoy yourself.
"What should I waste my time on?" You mused, looking around the room. You weren't really in the mood to study plants, so you had to think of something else. Exploring Mondstadt sounded like fun, but on the other hand, you were going to explore Teyvat in the future anyway, so you were better off saving this activity for later.
"Maybe I could try befriending some characters. . . I shouldn't call them that. This isn't a game right now. They are all living people. Even if it's hard to get used to it."
You got up from the bed and grabbed your bag and weapon. "Just in case."
After taking a brief look in the mirror, you left the room, closing the door behind you."Okay, who am I going to spend time with?"
You walked down the hallway, your steps echoing through the big hall.
"There are many people I haven't met yet. Fischl, Mona, Eula, Noelle, Sucrose and Mika, who probably isn't here anyway. Perhaps Razor? I never got to properly thank him."Arriving at the front door, you reached for its handle, only to be beat to it. The front door suddenly flung open, slamming into you.
You staggered backwards, wincing in pain. "What the - First people and now even doors? Are you kidding me?!"
To be honest, it wasn't that painful, but feeling like this happened way too often recently, you couldn't help but feel irritated. "Can't you guys be more aware of your surroundings?" You sighed, holding on to your aching wrist, which probably suffered the most damage."(Y/N)?!" A male voice called out in surprise. "I'm so sorry! I didn't think that it would fling open like this." The young man's emerald green eye's stared at you in guilt.
Despite your wrist hurting like hell, you waved him off with a weak smile, "Don't worry, Bennett. It was just an accident. I'm fine."Bennett, of all people, should be the last one to receive a scolding from you. It probably wasn't his fault to begin with. As unlucky as he is, fate most likely played a part in it.
"Still, I'm truly sorry. I promise I'll be more careful next time!" He assured, still clearly guilty. "Does your wrist hurt a lot? We should head to the Cathedral and have Barbara take a look at it."
You sighed in defeat. This surely wasn't what you intended to sign up for as you left your room a minute ago. Still, the day was long, so a brief visit to the Cathedral surely wouldn't hurt. Besides, if you were to refuse, Bennett probably wouldn't be able to stop worrying.
"I mean, it's better to be safe than sorry." You admitted, scratching your cheek.
Hearing your words, the male's eyes lit up. "Alright." He grinned happily. "Don't worry, I'll take full responsibility if Barbara were to ask about it."
Well, at least this would spare you a scolding.
You groaned in exhaustion as you finally arrived at the top of the town. No matter how often you were to visit this place, you would never get used to all these stairs. Using the nearby Waypoint unfortunately wasn't possible since it hasn't been activated yet.
