"(Y/N)?" A female voice called out from behind, grabbing your attention.
You spun around on the bar's stool, coming face to face with a familiar blonde.
"Good evening, Jean." You greeted her.
Her eyes looked at my with concern, "Why are you here?"

She seemed worried about you being dragged into Mondstadt's problems. You weren't one of the city's citizens, after all. So, why solve its problems?
"Because this ᵖᵉˢᵏʸ friend of mine keeps dragging me into his problems." You replied, side-glancing at Venti.

The bard had emptied a whole bottle of Dandelion wine, while Diluc was gone.
You could only hope that he was able to afford it, since there weren't going to be any performances until this dragon issue was solved.

You were still wondering why Venti insisted on you staying here with him. Especially going as far as to causing a scene because of it. You didn't mind spending time with him, but he started being rather clingy recently, much to your discomfort.
But every time you had tried asking him about it, he simply kept dodging the question.
After numerous attempts, you had given up, knowing that he wasn't going to give you a serious answer.
Reaching this point, you were simply annoyed by his attitude and decided not to speak with him at all.

Jean cleared her throat, not intending to interfere in your private problems.
"Anyway, I was actually hoping to see you." The woman spoke up with a calm smile, "I never got the chance to thank you for what you've done for Mondstadt. Not only do you lend a hand to the citizens, but you also helped take care of the Four Winds Temple. Since the Traveler, received the title of Honorary Knight, I think it would only be appropriate if you, too-"

"I refuse." You interrupted her, wearing a calm smile. Jean was taken aback by your reply. Why would you turn down a title that could put you in a good light?

You put your arms onto the counter and let out a sigh. "I'm sorry, Jean, but I can't accept it. I might have helped the Knights with that temple issue. But until now, I only accepted the people's request with money in mind. I was always paid in exchange for my services. So, I think receiving a title for helping out once is simply more than I deserve." You smiled at the Grandmaster, resting your chin on your palm.

The blonde woman gave you a conflicted look, before letting out a sigh of defeat. "I see. I will not force you to accept the title if you don't want it, but I hope you will consider it in the future." Her lips formed a gentle smile, as she rested her hand upon her chest. You hummed in acknowledgement, even though your decision was set in stone.

*a while later*

The tavern's door creaked open, causing you to halt the conversation you had with Diluc.
A familiar blonde and his companion entered the building. Aether's eyes widened in surprise as he took notice of Jean's presence. His bewildered expression, put an amused smile onto your lips.

Venti grimaced. You have been ignoring the bard for the past hour, which greatly bothered him. Of course, he didn't show it.
And now your attention was on the blond outlander, much to the Archon's displeasure.

After explaining to Aether and Paimon that Jean wasn't here as the Acting Grandmaster, Diluc continued describing the whole situation to Jean.

You were already familiar with the conversation's topic, so you couldn't bring yourself to pay much attention. So, despite clearly spacing out, you tried to at least look like you were listening.

That was until...
"Oh, I'm sure our great Honorary Knight won't have any trouble dealing with the Fatui if it came to an encounter. After all, he had no trouble clearing out the temples." Venti spoke up, his voice sounding spiteful. Hearing the way he talked nearly made you choke on your beverage. You looked at him, utterly shocked and at a loss for words.
