2nd POV
"You know, as I gave you permission to seek me out whenever you feel like it, I wasn't expecting you to follow me around 24/7." You mumbled under your breath, as you rested beneath Windrise's oak tree.
"Well, that's because I wanted to see you. Ehe~" Venti replied with a grin, while plucking his lyre's strings.
"Do you really want to see me, or are you just bored and don't know what else to do?" You questioned, glancing at the bard.
"In the end, they both amount to the same thing, don't they? I, either, come to see you if I feel like it, or I am bored, so I want to spend some time with you." He explained with a smile.
"You should make some more friends." You sighed, and sat up.
The bard pouted at your words, "Hey, that's mean. I have plenty of friends. Yet, out of everyone, I choose to spend time with you."
"What friends are you talking about? Have you paid Andrius a visit since you've returned? I'm sure he will be pleased to meet you." You joked sarcastically, crossing your arms.
Venti flinched, hearing your words, and stopped playing.
Now you felt bad for joking about it. It bugged you that he managed to make you feel guilty whenever you tease him.
A sigh escaped your lips, "That was uncalled-for. I apologize."
A chuckle escaped the bard's lips.
"Is there anything you'd like to do?" You asked, changing the topic, "... or do you just want to talk?"
"What do want to talk about?" He asked with a smile.
Bringing your knees close to your chest, you rested your head on them, "I don't know. Is there anything you want to know about me, or my world?"
Venti smiled, "What is your world like?"
"Well..." You sighed, gazing at the clouds, "My world is huge. The size of Teyvat could be compared to one country out of hundreds. Seriously, Mondstadt's city would be just a tiny village in my world." You hummed, closing your eyes, "In my world, there is no such thing as magic or elemental abilities. There aren't any creatures, like Hilichurls, Riftwolves or Dragons. It might sound peaceful at first, but to tell the truth, humans from my world can be worse than those... So, to be honest, I don't really miss my world. The only thing I do miss is my family... and my friends."
"Don't worry, I'm sure you will see your family again." The bard spoke up with a reassuring smile, "There has to be a way for you to return home."
You sighed, "I still don't know how I got here. I can't recall what happened right before I came to this world. What if it was only a one-way ticket in?"
"What do you mean by that?" Venti gave you a worried look.
"Like I said, there is no such thing as magic in my world, so it would be impossible to open some kind of portal, that connects to this world. So, what if I... actually died." You mused, a sad smile on your lips, "Maybe my soul just got lost and ended up here. That would explain why I can't remember anything."
Venti, looked at you, seemingly troubled by your confession. Realizing that, you couldn't help but chuckle.
"I never imagined, that Venti the Bard could be at a loss for words." You joked, before letting yourself fall back into the grass, "Don't worry, I will stop joking about it. It's obviously making you uncomfortable, and I want to avoid scaring off another friend."
"What do mean with another?" The bard sat down next to you, clearly curious.
You hummed with a grin and closed your eyes, "I spy with my little eye something that is turquoise."
"Hey now, you can't just say something like that and change the topic." The bard whined, disappointed.
You didn't reply and waited for him to join your game.
"I can't believe you won this one." He sighed, looking around, "My Anemo Vision?"
"Nope."
"That Crystalfy?" Venti seemed eager to win this one.
You shook your head with a grin, "One guess left."
"Aww~ Come on." He whined, "My clothes?"
"Hah too bad. Seems like you lost." You shrugged your shoulders, seemingly enjoying your win.
The young man sighed, disappointed, "Can you at least give me the answer?"
"The Anemo particles."
Venti looked at you in surprise, "You can see those?"
"Yep. I see Elemental traces, orbs, and particles without having to focus. It was somewhat bothersome at the beginning, but I got used to it." You explained, tiredly stretching your arms, "Even though you lost, it's your turn."
The bard scanned the surrounding area, "I spy with my little eye... something that is green."
"The grass?" You guessed, knowing that it was obviously wrong.
"No."
"The leaves?"
"Nope." Venti shook his head with a grin.
"That Dendro Slime over there?" You asked, as you pointed at the plant, poking out from the ground.
Venti shook his head, "Seriously, I didn't even see that one."
You laughed, as the slime suddenly jumped out from the ground and fled.
"I meant your eyes." He revealed, leaving you baffled.
"My eyes?" You asked confused, "Did they change color again? Hah... I must have touched too much grass."
"Hmm... So, your eyes do react to Elemental Energy."
You nodded, shrugging your shoulders, "Yeah they do. They change color depending on the Element I come into contact with."
"Huh? That's interesting." Venti smiled, "A person awakens in a familiar, yet unfamiliar world. They were gifted a special power, allowing them to control this world's Elements. Though, they can't help but enjoy their life in this new world, their only wish was to return to their own. Don't you think this would make for a great song?"
You tried holding back your laughter. A song about you was something you wouldn't dare thinking about. It was obviously embarrassing to hear a song about yourself.
"Well, I think the idea behind the story is good." You joked, crossing your arms, "But doesn't it seem a bit too fictional?"
"Is it, though?" He mused with a grin, "I wouldn't write songs about stories that are built on lies."
You chuckled, "Suit yourself, then."
