2nd POV

"Your world...?" A pair of pale blue eyes stared at you curiously.

You glanced at Chongyun, who seemed to have trouble comprehending your words. Who could blame him? A stranger just openly claimed to be from another world; no one would believe those words to bet the truth.

"Yes." You replied with a faint smile. "My world." You paused for a moment, pondering how far in detail you should get to make these boys believe you.
You could feel their blue eyes fixed on you, waiting for you to explain further.

A quiet sigh escaped your lips as you leaned back, tapping your chin thoughtfully. Their eyes hold an obvious look of curiosity, making you feel somewhat conflicted. Maybe you should have taken your choice of words in consideration before actually speaking them out.

"Well, I don't know how exactly I ended up here." You admitted with a sheepish smile, scratching the back of your head, "I just woke up in Teyvat one day. I don't know why, though."

Another awkward silence followed. It was clear that Chongyun didn't believe your words, but you didn't mind. It wouldn't change anything, whether he believed you or not.
His friend, on the other hand, didn't want to believe your words to be simply made up.
Seeing his furrowed brows, you knew that he was actually trying to wrap his head around your story.

Xingqiu crossed his arms, looking back at you with a curious look. "Oh? So, like a protagonist in a novel? Who died, before getting reincarnated into another world? Do you also have special powers?"

Silence.

Your eyes widened at his words as a look of disbelief washed over your face. You opened your mouth to speak, but you failed to put your thoughts into words.

"I- I mean, I've read a few books about people who ended up in another world after dying. Since you can't remember how you ended up here; wouldn't that be a plausible explanation?"

It was true that you had already thought about this possibility. Yet, the thought alone was hard to swallow. If this was the reason for your arrival in this world, then you wouldn't be able to return home.

In that case, it wouldn't matter if Aether and his sister could travel across worlds because your world simply wouldn't exist. You would never see your family again; your parents, siblings, and pets. No more Anime, gaming, and YouTube. Forever stuck in this world, unable to put an end to this loop of life and death.

"Xingqiu!" The heavy silence was abruptly broken by the pale-blue haired boy. Chongyun's brows were furrowed as he glared at his friend. He was clearly upset about Xingqiu's words. His reaction was only natural. "You can't just ask them a question like this. This isn't a book! Look at them! You made them cry!"

His words snapped you out of your trance.

Crying? Again?

Your hands made their way up to your face, wiping away the tears that had welled up in the corner of your eyes.

A quiet, yet frustrated sigh escaped your lips. You couldn't remember being such a crybaby back in your world. Yet, since you've woken up in this world, you found yourself crying over and over again; be it in situations like these or in your sleep.
You were haunted by this miserable feeling, you couldn't even put in words.
The memories of dying over and over again kept appearing in your dreams, forcing you to recall the pain and fear you had to endure until you took your last breath.

Another sigh escaped your lips. Why were you thinking about those things now? Wasn't it enough that you were already crying? Why did you have to have those thoughts running through your head at a time like this? Shouldn't your head think about something else to make you feel better instead of worsening those painful feelings?
