Chapter 18 - Fate Within the Stars

Quick question. Do you guys by any chance have trouble with Wattpad when viewing my stories? After I tried reading this chapter, Wattpad, for some reason, didn't show me the full chapter. It literally cut off the last half for me. I can't tell whether Wattpad is just being buggy or not.

2nd POV

The following day, you spend most of your time inside your room; reading some books and sketching some doodles, that no one was allowed to look at.

Of course, Amber wasn't so keen on you staying inside all day, so she had dragged you out for a stroll inside the town.

During this stroll, you overheard members of the adventure guild talking about meteorites that put people to sleep once touched.
Upon hearing this, you were certain that the flagship events were going to occur nonetheless. Which, was fine with you, as long as you didn't have to participate in all of them.

As for this one, you gladly stayed out of it. Sure, you haven't had the chance to meet Mona and Fischl yet, but running into Scaramouche a second time, surely was a big fat NO.

There were going to be more opportunities for you to meet those girls, anyway.

Since there hasn't been any news from Diluc either, so you assumed that there weren't going to be any, as long as the event was active.

Still, you were somewhat confused. Didn't you need to finish Mondstadt's Archon quest to participate in it? Well, at least Adventure Rank 20, that was for sure. Has Aether been grinding to reach that rank despite not having finished the Main Quest?

On the other hand... did those rules even apply in that case? You doubted that you were inside the game of someone else, who was stuck with those rules. Besides, if that were the case, they wouldn't be able to participate in this event anyway. You can't replay events that are already over, which was somewhat disappointing in your opinion.

"Poor new players who will never get to see them."

You were once again trying to waste your day indoors until-

"(Y/N)!" A cheerful female voice called from the other side of the door.
Upon hearing the brunette, you hurriedly stuffed your sketched inside the drawer of your desk and opened a book instead.  

A second later, the door flung open, revealing Amber, who gave you the most cheerful smile you've seen in the past few years. 

"This can't be good..."

"Look, who I've run into." She beamed excitedly, before stepping aside.
You sweatdropped, hoping that it wasn't bad news.

Luckily, it was only Aether and Paimon.

"Damn. And here I thought I needed to run."

Amber grinned at you, before waving you goodbye.

"Paimon came to pick you up~!" The silver-haired pixie beamed at you, as you saw the brunette hurrying away.
"Pick me up?" You tilted your head confused, your eyes traveling towards Aether, "Did you get news from Diluc?"
The blonde shook his head, "Not yet. We've been busy investigating the trouble with the meteorites the past few days."
"Yep!" Paimon nodded eagerly. "We came here to look for a book in the library for someone, who aids in this case; when we suddenly ran into Amber, who seemed oddly troubled." The girl sighed, crossing her arms, "She told us that you were locking yourself up inside your room the past few days, which, in her opinion, seemed unlike you. She thought that you might need someone to cheer you up."
