2nd POV

Opening your eyes, you were greeted by a familiar ceiling.

You tiredly sat up to take a look around, only to be pushed back down by a certain pixie. Tightly wrapping her arms around your chest, Paimon nearly knocked the air out of your lungs.

"You're finally awake!" She sobbed, sniffling into your shirt's fabric. "Paimon thought you were going to die!"

Groggily gazing down at the girl, you gently patted her head, hoping to calm her down.
This was too much after just waking up.

"How are you feeling?"
You turned your head and noticed Aether resting on a chair next to your bed. He gave you a look of worry.

"Just a little tired." You admitted with a weak smile, "How long have I been sleeping?"
The blond furrowed his eyebrows, "About a day."
"Just a day?" You muttered, stretching your arms, "The last time I fainted I was gone for three days."

The young man crossed his arms, giving you a look of disbelief, "You seem surprisingly proud about that, considering that you made everyone worry."
You pursed your lips, "I never said that I take pride in nearly getting killed all the time... but fainting for one day is less than three days."
"I'd appreciate it if you didn't faint at all, in the future." Aether sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

You shamefully lowered your head, "I'm sorry for worrying you."
"It's okay." The blonde gave you a faint smile, "I'm just glad that you are alright."

"Are you sure that you will be fine on your own?" Paimon asked with a concerned look.
"Don't worry.", you chuckled, hands resting on your hip, "I'll catch up to you once I'm done. It won't take long."
The girl huffed, crossing her arms, "You're just too scared to run into Barbara, right? Because she'll definitely give you a scolding, for being so reckless."

You pursed your lips, turning your head away, "I'm not a coward. I simply have to get some things done, before we leave Mondstadt. If I don't do it now, I'll forget it later, and then I'll have to rush myself to get it done, which would only delay our departure."

That's what you tried to make them believe, but what Paimon said wasn't that far off from the truth. Barbara would definitely scold you, but that wasn't the only reason. If you were to accompany them, you would run into the Fatui; getting your ass beat and knocked out. After yesterday, that's out of question.

Paimon let out a disappointed sigh, "Fine. But you'll catch up as soon as you are done, okay?"
"I promise." You smiled, showing both of your hands.

After the two had left, you grabbed the book, you used to study with, and headed over to the library.

Carefully pushing the door open, you peeked inside, scanning the room for Lisa. It didn't take long for you to spot her. She was sitting behind her desk, seemingly as tired as always.

"Oh! Sweetie~" She chimed happily upon spotting you.
You let out a quiet sigh, stepping inside with a stern look, "Please stop calling me that."

"Oh my..." The brunette sighed, with a hurt look, "Don't you like this one? What else should I call you then?"
"(Y/N), would suffice." You replied with a calm smile.
Lisa smiled teasingly, "No can do~"

You let out a quiet sigh, shaking your head.
"Anyway, I came here to bring back the book. I'll be leaving for Liyue soon, so I can't keep it any longer." You gently placed the book on the desk.

Hearing your words, the librarian looked at in surprise, "You're leaving?"
"Yes." You nodded at her with a warm smile, "I'll accompany Aether and Paimon on their travels."
"Ah... I see." For a brief moment, her smile seemed to drop, only to return the next.
