"NOAH! NOAH!!! GET THE HELL UP YOU LAZY SLUT! YOU HAVE SCHOOL!"
Huh. Funny how the first thing I hear in the morning is my shouting aunt and it's the last thing I care about.
I groaned, rubbing my head. I was sporting a major headache and I felt like my brains were melting. Aunt's shouting did not make things better.
I thought about the weird dream I had last night. Some creature was in my room looking for something and claiming my parents sent it. It kept rambling about lost maps and chosen ones - it even spoke bits of Latin and I understood. How the heck did I even know how to speak in Latin?!
"Stupid dream." I muttered to myself. I sighed. I eventually pulled off the cover and dragged myself towards the closet. After changing I just stared at the mirror.
"Noémi, did thee find the map of sapi...."
I shrieked and tumbled backwards. The thing from last night was standing right in front of me. In the sunlight, I could see its features more clearly. Her dress was pure white and violets trimmed the edges of her knee lenght skirt. Her face was beautiful with the bright blue eyes, soft blush and kind smile. She had pointed ears, long brown hair and delicate silver wings sprouted from her back. She almost looked like Tinkerbell from 'Peter Pan.'
This had to be a dream. I pinched myself and blinked when my skin hurt.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. This is real. I am awake and there is a creature in my room who knows my name! I'm hallucinating...I'm hallucinating... Noah you're going crazy. Am I going crazy? Oh my god this thing is real... or is it? I'm hallucinating...Yeah, I was panicking. The creature/ fairy/ thing interrupted my silent freakout."Is there something wrong Noémi?"
"Something wrong?! There is a creature in my room who claims to know my parents and keeps bugging me about a map of wisdom and chosen ones! Then, there's my aunt who by the way, somehow still hasn't come in here even with all the noise!!" I was stressing out so much by the time I finished with my mini outburst, that I began to hyperventilate. Silver (I somehow managed to remember her name) shrugged and rolled her eyes.
"I was sent by your parents to help you gather the Chosen, the most powerful beings in the world. You are the first, and you need the rest. A great evil is rising and only the Chosen can stop it. I'll explain more later. And your aunt? I just used magic to make your walls soundproof and to make myself invisible to all but the Chosen."
Silver gave me a duh look. My brain felt like exploding. The room was spinning, aunt's shouting (wow she was still shouting. Where did the woman get her lungs?) became a faint sound in the background and I zoned out completely. Magic, Chosen Ones, powerful beings, good and evil. All of this sounded familiar. Suddenly I was somewhere else, and an invisible brick hit my face.

Fifteen Years Ago
Amber watched as her husband walked up to the elders. He knelt on one knee and held up his golden sword.
"It's time we settled."
Amber swelled in pride as she walked and knelt at Caspien's side. She too, held up her weapon, a bow made of pure silver. She closed her eyes as she thought of all the adventures she's been in and smiled. She knew that one day, she would come back to the organization. One day.
Her own father stepped forward and took the bow from her hand. She felt a little guilty. It was always her father's dream that she become an elder, a leader of the organization. Amber looked into her father's eyes but saw no regret, no anger, just.....happiness and pride. He understood that she wanted a peaceful life. A life with her husband, a life with no adventure or danger, a life to raise her baby. She touched her stomach. She only realized that she was pregnant two days ago. She smiled at him.
