I ran through the trees, stumbling over the roots.

"Halt!" A voice yelled from above. I squinted up to see a guard point his gun down at me from one of the wooden platforms.

"I'm one of the chosen! I'm Noami Walkers!" I yelled back. I was shocked to find how hoarse my voice sounded.

The guard immediately put his gun down. "Apologies my lady. The base has been attacked and the-"

"Are they still there?!" I interrupted. "The attackers. Are they still there?!"

"No my lady." He said gravely.

I panted and continued to run. Agggggggg, which tree? Which tree?  I thought looking around at the mass of identical trees round me. I finally spotted the tree where the biometric hand-scanner was.

I pressed my hand against the white tree trunk and the scanner beeped. I found myself transported back to the familiar huge room on the metal platform. And oh, was it fucked up.

I leaned over the platform's railing, overlooking the horror below me. Half of the computer terminals were smashed to pieces, some were smoking and caught on fire. The giant cube in the center of the room was broken, all of its screens cracked, members of the organization lay here and there, all a bloody mess and agents of the organization were running all over the place, trying to help as much as possible.

"Noah!" Called Elli's voice behind me. The others materialized on the platform.

"Don't just run off like tha - Oh my..." Her eyes widened in horror at the mess below.

"This is bad." Whispered Jake. "Oh my god, this is so bad..."

The others watched in silence, eyes clearly showing terror. I ran down the metal staircase.

"What happened?!" I asked to a nearby agent. He had horns peeping out his head.

"My lady-"

"What happened here?" I repeated.

"We were attacked my lady. A group of different spirits. Maybe about fifty in total. Elves, deamons, gnomes and even fairies."  Answered the agent.

"Wait they weren't dark spirits?! How could that happen?" I asked.

"Some were infected my lady. Others must have been old followers of Tenebris and most seemed to have had their minds poisoned by the spirit of Dolos."

"I'm sorry the spirit of what?" asked Jason, joining in. The others climbed down the metal staircase and joined us.

"The spirit of Dolos. The spirit of manipulation." He answered.

"One of the three worst." Growled Jake. He clenched his fists.

"Wait where are our parents?" Gasped indigo wide eyed. The agent stayed quiet.

"Your parents are fine. They're in the infirmary right now." Said a voice behind us. We turned around to find the middle-aged woman in golden robes. One of the elders.

"THE INFIRMARY?!!!"

"Helping the others, child." She replied. She turned to the agent. "Go help clean up this mess."

"Yes, your Grace." The agent bowed down and rushed off.

The woman's gaze fell on us. "I am Prisha. I believe we met on the first day you came here."

I noticed she had a slight Indian accent. Her dark brown hair matched her chestnut skin, amber eyes standing out. Her delicate hands carried henna tattoo designs, she wore several bangles on her wrists and a silver ring shaped like a snake looped around her index finger. She carried herself with authority and elegance at the same time, making up for her rather petite height. She gazed at us calm and quiet, honestly looking as scary as Lady Artemis.
