TW: mentions of death, funeral, and abuse
~~
"Hey," He said when he entered the room.
"Hey, Josh," Tyler responded, not even looking at who the person was.
"How goes it in here?"
He shrugged and continued to mindlessly scroll through Instagram. "Pretty boring."
"Oh, that's terrible. Should I just go home then?"
Tyler let out a small laugh. "No, you should stay."
Josh walked over to the bed and stared down at him. Tyler finally removed his gaze from the phone. "I'm still not used to your hair yet."
"Me either."
"Do you like the pink?"
"Not my choice but..." He spotted himself in the reflection of the phone. "It's not terrible."
"Oh, so you do like it?"
"Didn't say that part."
"Personally, I think it looks good." Josh scooted closer to the mattress. "Do I get a spot?"
"Does it look like I am going to move?"
Josh tried to sit in the tiny space next to him. Tyler pressed his hands on his back. "Dude, we can't both fit here!"
Josh moved Tyler's arms out of the way and slowly laid down so Tyler had no choice but to move over.
"Josh! Oh my God!"
The mentioned looked at him through the hair on his face. "I fit, you lair!"
"My ass is against the wall, dipshit!"
"You're not falling, are you?"
"When did you get all cocky?"
"Since hanging out with you."
"Fair enough."
Tyler stared at him. They were both on their sides and facing one another, inches apart. Tyler suddenly blew in his face.
"Ah!" Josh blew back in Tyler's face and watched him squint. "What was that for?!"
"I was getting the hair out of your face. You need a haircut. You should've gotten one yesterday."
"Didn't have to spit in my face to tell me that."
"I didn't spit."
"It was still mean."
"I apologize." Tyler analyzed Josh's nose. "You know, look sexy with that nose ring. You could get all the guys."
He blew a raspberry. "No, I couldn't."
"You could." He insisted.
"Not all." He stared into his brown eyes.
"Most, then." He compromised.
"I don't know about that."
"Come on, there has to be at least one guy that likes you."
"Doubt it."
"That's no way to think."
"No one likes me."
"I like you." He insisted.
"That's different."
Tyler frowned, feeling a little hurt. "Well... do you like anyone?"
He felt his heart race. "Yeah..."
