Really - Chapter 31

"Oh my gosh," I grin as we get home from Christmas 'lunch' at 10:30pm. I stumble into Jamie's room and throw my coat onto the chair as Jamie walks in and shuts the door.

"I can't believe it!" I smile, pulling my dress off over my head and putting one of Jamie's oversized shirts on and climbing onto out bed.

"What?"

"How good today was," I sigh, looking at his perfectly toned torso while he gets ready for bed.

"Of course it was good," He chuckles, "It was Christmas Day,"

"Yep, that was the only good thing about the entire day," I chuckle as he tackles me backwards onto the bed and holds himself on top of me.

"And for the fact that we kind of just got engaged," I smile as he kisses me softly, "Can I say one thing though?"

"Sure," He smiles and rolls off me and lies down on his side and pulls me to him.

"Aren't you worried that people are going to think that you just get engaged to any old girl you can find?" I ask him, "Because it hasn't been that long since Bonnie,"

"Hmmm," He sighs and looks at me for what seems like forever. "It did cross my mind. And that's why I've left it so late,"

"Late?"

"Well, I've had the thought of asking you to marry me after like knowing you for a month so it's been a while and I was going to wait, but then in the car the other day when you said you really loved me I realised that I really love you too and that I've never loved anyone as much as I do, you,"

"You're just saying all of the right things today aren't you?"

"I try," He smiles. "Goodnight beautiful,"

"Goodnight,"

"I really love you," He chuckles,

"I really love you too,"

A/N: Okay short chapter and don't worry I'm not going to leave it there! I just wanted to thank @verena2002 because she helped with the ideas of the last 3 chapters and I've had a whole day to just sit and write so it's been great! Sorry about the wait but now I have a whole lot of ideas that I can hopefully get down before I forget them!
