Year - Chapter 47

So the time until our 1 year anniversary passed incredibly quickly and I didn't even notice until one week beforehand. I decided that as a gift I would get him some new clothes considering I had stolen quite a few shirts and jumpers. And I had also woken up early to make breakfast in bed in our hotel room, what was rather difficult as he was sleeping only a small distance from the kitchen.

"Jamie," I sing as I bring the tray with eggs on toast and a glass of orange juice balanced on top over to the bed as a very dazed and confused Jamie wakes up, rubbing his eyes before snapping awake quickly and leaning over the side of the bed to grab something.

"Happy anniversary love," He smiles, handing me the bags with a medium sized box in it,

"Likewise,"I smile, setting breakfast down on my side of the bed so he can still move.

"Open it," He chuckles and I rip open the paper to reveal a Chanel perfume box.

"Jamie," I smile as I open it and spray some, "you're too sweet,"

"Nothing but the best for you," He smiles, digging in to his food.

"Well, I have something for you too but it's not nearly as nice as this,"

"Breakfast would have sufficed," he chuckles as I run to my suitcase and pull out the rather large package.

After breakfast and a bit of cuddling and laughing, we get ready to go on set. Today was the day we also decided to tell everyone that I was pregnant as I was 6 months in and starting to show quite prominently.

"Ready?"

I look in the mirror at my bump and then up to him and nod.

"Let's go,"

When we arrived at set there was only one person Jamie really wanted to tell and that was Kevin.

"Can we tell him first?"

"Of course," I smile as we head towards his trailer, "and you can tell him,"

He smiles excitedly at me and we knock on the door before entering.

"Hey guys," he smiles, giving Jamie a hug and me a kiss on the cheek,

"Alright, I'm really really excited so I'm just going to say it now," Jamie says and Kevin looks slightly taken aback.

"Shoot," he says, sitting on the couch,

"Jess and I are expecting a baby," He smiles as Kevin's face lights up

"No way?!"

I nod excitedly and he pulls Jamie in a tight and loving hug before doing the same to me.

"How long until you get to meet her or him?"

"About 3 months," I chuckle and his eyes look like they're about to pop out of his head,

"Shit, that's so soon," He chuckles and looks to Jamie. "Right around promo tours too," he winks and Jamie groans, covering his face with his hands as a joke, "have you told anyone else?"

"Nope,"

"Not even your parents?"

We shake our heads and his hand goes to his heart, "well, I feel honoured,"

"We are going to try and tell most people today, because we've been together for a year, today," I explain and Jamie nods, looking at a fixed point on the floor.

"Well, prepare to be bombarded with congratulations,"

"Call yours first," I say, sliding the phone to him,

"No you call yours,"

"I feel like mine will take longer,"

"Fine," He chuckles and dials their number, and within a few rings, Anne answers.

"Hello?"

"Hi mum," Jamie says, grabbing my hand tightly,

"How are you?"

"Pretty great actually, listen, we have something to tell you,"

"I'm all ears,"

"You're going to be grandparents in 3 months time!" He says, excitement lacing his voice, "sorry, that makes you sound really old but it's true, Jess is pregnant," he chuckles and her squeals could've been heard even if she wasn't on speaker.

"That's wonderful!" She exclaims, "is it healthy? Is Jess okay? Tell me everything is fine,"

"Yes mum, it's perfect, and so is Jess. Well, now anyhow,"

"Oh, I'm surprised to say that I'm so glad to hear it and I'm so glad things are working out for you and Jess," she says and I can just picture the tears of joy rolling down her face.

"Thanks mum," he smiles, kissing me on the cheek, "listen I would love to chat but we have to call Jess' parents so I'll talk to you soon,"

"Okay, bye J, love you,"

"Love you too mum,"

He throws the phone onto the bed and tackles me backwards and supporting his weight with his arms, "I'm so excited," he smiles, kissing everywhere on my face,

"Tell me about it," I smile, kissing him on the lips, "now can we call my parents?"

"Sure thing,"

I open Skype up on my laptop and click on the photo of my parents and surprisingly, they answer extremely quickly. Or at least my mum does

"Hi mum,"

"Jess, Jamie, what a pleasant surprise! how are you both?"

"Ecstatic," I chuckle,

"And why is that?"

"Because I'm pregnant,"

"Sorry?" She asks, turning the volume up on her computer,

"I - I'm pregnant,"

"Are you sure?"

I smile and Jamie rubs comforting circles on my back, "yes mum, 100%, six months in fact,"

"As in six months to go?"

"No, I'm six months in,"

"Wow, this is extremely unexpected," she sighs, "but so incredibly exciting too,"

And just like that, a weight has lifted off my shoulders and Jamie sighs as well.

"Tell me more," she smiles.

And we continue to explain the same story over once again.
