"Anything in particular that you think you could do?" The general manager of the film asks, "I mean we've got everyone we need but if you're here and you want to help then we can find something for you," He smiles and I shrug.

"I guess I can help the costume people or makeup people, just handing them stuff,"

He nods and writes something down on a notepad, "Jamie should be in makeup now so I'll take you there,"

We walk thorough the set and I begin to wonder if I'm ever going to know my way around.

He pushes the door of the trailer open and we step in. I see Jamie and two other actors sitting in chairs in front of mirrors getting their makeup done.

"Fancy seeing you here," I chuckle to Jamie.

The makeup artist obviously not knowing that I know him, and quite well in fact, looks between us confused and Jamie explains that we're together.

"So what have they got you doing?" He asks,

"Helping around in here apparently," I smile to the girls doing makeup, "But I had a quick look on my phone and there's a place nearby that I'm going to go to," I smile, passing the girl a different shade of powder when she asks.

"Wait, where are you going?"

"What we were talking about this morning,"

"Can we just have a moment, it will only take a second," Jamie asks the makeup girl and she walks over to the other side of the trailer where her friend is working, "I kind of want to be there," He says, his eyes giving off an incredible sense of vulnerability.

"No, just to get a blood test," I whisper, "I'm not getting any scans done without you, no way," I say, placing my hand on the back of his neck, "I'll go and get a blood test then come back,"

He nods and the girl comes back over when she notices we've stopped talking and we continue pottering around on heaps and heaps of people. More than I expected, but it's keeping my mind off certain things and keeping me busy while Jamie is working.

"Number 4?" The pathologist calls out as I wait in the waiting room after my short doctors appointment, holding my number.

"Yep,"

She smiles and leads me through to a small room, telling me to take a seat in a chair next to a desk.

"Do you have your paper?" She asks and I hand her the sheet, "thank you,"

As she prepares the vial and needle I ask her a few questions about her day but only one question really matters, "So when will I be able to know the result?" I ask and she smiles,

"Two-three days tops," she smiles, "you'll have to contain the excitement,"

"I'm sure I'll be fine,"

"Don't downplay it, is this your first?"

"Sure is,"

"And you're married?" She says, looking at my hand.

"No, just engaged,"

"When's the big day?"

I chuckle before replying, "haven't actually decided yet. It's a bit complicated, I hadn't actually seen him for 2 months up until about two days ago, because of his work so we'll work it out when it's a little less crazy,"

"You'll feel a little pinch," She smiles and presses the need into my arm, "what does he do?"

"He's an actor,"

"There's some movie filming a few blocks down, is he in that?" She asks and I nod and she smiles.

"That's why I haven't seen him for ages,"

"Alright, well good luck with the wedding and the tests," she smiles and I thank her for her help.

"Ready?" I ask before we walk into the ultrasound room. We got the blood tests back yesterday and I was in fact pregnant as we had suspected and then we decided to make use of Jamie's day off to get our first scan done.

"Sure am," he smiles, looking incredibly excited yet terrified.

"Good morning guys, how are you?" The radiologist, whose name is Rachel, smiles as we walk through the door.

"Pretty good I smile," as Jamie takes a seat on the little chair next to the bed.

"So this is a pregnancy screen yes?" She asks as we nod and she circles something on a sheet of paper, "well, let's get started," she says excitedly, "do you know how far along you are? Or not yet?" She asks,

"Well, it has to be at least 2 months because we haven't done anything at all for 2 months," I shrug and she nods, writing something down again.

"Let's have a look," she says as I lift my shirt up and she spreads the cool gel over my stomach, "so if you want to come around so you can see the screen," she says to an eager Jamie, "this little blob here is your baby and it's looking very healthy and normal so far. Nothing to worry about,"

My heart flutters and I feel so happy to finally see my little baby. Jamie looks to me and I can see tears welling up in his eyes as he grins to me, kissing my forehead.

"How far through am I?"

"Well, by the looks of it you're approximately 15 weeks in, so almost double what you thought you were," she says and I'm utterly shocked.

"Really? I don't get it," I mumble,

"Don't get what?"

"Bit awkward to say, but I've still been bleeding a little bit each month,"

"That's normal for a lot of people, nothing to worry about if it's little amounts," she nods, "that happened to me with my first girl,"

"How many kids do you have?" Jamie asks,

"Just got back from maternity leave with my fourth," She chuckles, "I had twins though,"

"Wow," I chuckle, "you must be busy,"

"They keep me on my toes," She smiles, "well, you can wipe that off, we are done now," she smiles sweetly and hands me a towel, "I'll be back in one second,"

I stand up off the bed and pull my shirt down as Jamie picks me up in a hug, "that was our baby," he whispers in my ear and you can't wipe the smile off my face, "our baby," he says, louder this time.

"I can't wait to meet it," I smile, pressing my lips to his quickly.

"You two are free to go," Rachel smiles from the door, "I'll give you this report and the shots so you can give them to your regular doctor if you don't come back here, but if you do, I'll see you in about 3 weeks,"
